  • Some stuff there today. Bought some glove that seem pretty good, a computer and a work stand.

Work stand is £30 and having also used a park home mechanic work stand I find it more secure than that.

    Woolwich ...http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg//SID-E4933699-690D8707/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/offerdate.htm?offerdate=14166&ar2=1&id=756&country=GB&zipcode=SE18+6LW&city=London&district=Woolwich&street=MacBean+Street&ar=1&nf=True

  • No work stands at Well St. :-(

  • They had a load of workstands, a few pairs of size 9 shoes and hardly any items of clothing at the old kent road one the other day.

  • No work stands at Burdett Rd.

    I'll try OKR tonight

  • None at OKR either. fuck it.

  • Workstands back in Lidl today - just sayin...

  • ^ Will check them out, cheers.

Just seen this gem of a thread, much my to my comfort.
Been wearing an Aldi "Crane" (their cycling brand) cycling jersey for most of the summer now and it's brilliant, paid what,
£5, and it's just as good if not better than my Nike, Castelli and Royce jerseys.

I know it's not Lidl, but all the same it's nice to know not everyone is adorned in Rapha.

    £29.99

  • Just bought the last one from the lidl near me in Hull! The woman that served me said they had loads but there ran out of stock within 3 hours!

  • There were 6 stands in Woolwich just now...

  • I've been tempted by those stands, are they actually any good? Some of Lidls stuff is great, and some useless...

  • I don't think they're in Park Tools territory, but better than the rig I've currently got...

  • cheers for the bump* read this popped in and got my fantastic cheap new stand that i have been looking for a non ridiculous priced one for ages, will test on my road bike build

  • Were quite a few workstands (c.10) left in Peckham Lidl at 8pm this evening - got one myself.

  • smashing, I think I'll head there tomorrow

  • Got one on the way back from work, it's reassuringly heavy (had to walk it home with it balanced on my bars) and first impressions are good. Certainly worth £30, and the magnetic tray is a nice touch.

It looks like a p.a speaker stand.

  • 3 Years Manufacturer's Warranty - hmm - if it breaks I'm not above strolling back into LIDL with the Sale of Goods Act scrawled across my naked body in crayon.

  • i will go OKR, Peckham then Brixton in that order after work tomorrow and report back

  • Do not buy the dual-cylinder floor pump. The Presta adapter does not fit.

I'm going to swap it for the mini floor pump tomorrow as it has a permanent Presta fitting. It says it'll only hit 100PSI though.

Regarding the floor pump, be careful to make sure the rivet that the clamp lever rotates on stays in place. If if slips out slightly on one side then it damages the housing.

    Cheap but cheerful shite.

  • Anyone used the £7 cycle computer?

  • Anyone used the £7 cycle computer?

I glanced at the ones in aldi but my girlfriend dragged me away.. Looked ok, anyone?

  • Anyone used the £7 cycle computer?

not used this one, but I'm always wary of cheap wireless ones, after one of them told me I was doing over 150mph whist sat at the computer with the magnet well away from the reading bit...
