Also if it's left up to the 6 we might be able to squeeze lunch time polo in which would be fun, except if you have to play bill then it'll just be dale pleasuring him and receiving a polo in the ass as one of the acknowledged rollapaluza perks.
now fixed.
*Now *it's fixed. Sort your insults out!

well, an obvious method to make a scheduled league work would be to have teams of more than the number required for play, like in any other scheduled league sport. Then for any given date, out of a selection pool of (for example) 5-6 people you would likely get 3 available to play.

and if it runs a season, you could know that you need to generally keep Saturday mornings (for example) clear from June to August.
or we could simply have monthly turniments, and the rest of the time would be free for teams to practice, and scrimmage. if and when they can arrange it

now you're talking sense. and point it up at the end of the season. have an overall. the monthly contributes towards a table.

this is the idea that people had on the day i liked best, as it has the best of both worlds, and the more you work at it (organizing practices, and scrimmages) the more you get out (more non-turny playing time, more improvement of skills, better placement in turnys)

also people could come and watch the turnys, and come and go during them. this would also work better for people who dont work 9 to 5.
I like the idea of having subs as well, so if some one cant make it, the team can still play, or if all 4 or 5 can make it then the team can sub during games (like when some one damages a bike/ mallet). though i doubt we have the people to do this.

dogs = grumpy
I vote for 2 weeks for teams to sort out when to play but also a specific season (even if it's loose-ish) as that will allow for new teams.
And that the 2 teams have to post on the league blog when and where their game is asap, so people can come bring them beer and shout abuse watching them.
Perhaps also on the night of the game, whatever spare person there is there is nominated by the teams to sort out any disagreements by the teams. No need for refs or anything, but just in case there is a disagreement, then there's one person there who the teams agree to let sort it out if they can't do it themselves.... but I'm against refs. At least for now. -

i'm all for tournments once in a while and playing casually during the week. juat don't see how you can organise a constant league so it works out fairly and allows new teams to play etc. also don't believe it's what it's all about (and you do the hokey pokey...)
are there rules like no drinking? or no smoking? drug testing?
