  • im sorry folks!

I really should pay attention to how things read when rambling nonsense when bored.

  • If his budget is around a hundred pounds the answer is simple J...
Buy an Archie's Grobag and then you can carry him around in it on YOUR bike!

Nothing more to discuss...my work here is done

  • Scott - is Yoda saying "Patience you must have for your Grobag"? ;p

  • had to look that up, a bit of an obscure reference isnt it? Some independent/hobbyist frame builder?

What are you trying to say, that leaders make dolans look like lugged steel frames?
    :(

hobbyist frame builder?!? vb will question that.

  • With posts like this have you considered dropping the 'deadly' and 'pack' from your username? It'd be more accurate. ;p

    ha

  • Scroll back guys - he's already eaten his humble pie...

  • Well I wouldn't turn my nose up at one of these:

If the BB is anything like the Team Machine, It's insanely stiff. TOO stiff.

Try looking up Robin Mather, I don't think Robyn Mather builds frames :)

  • His frames look nice, just the kind of standard youd expect from a skilled independent builder.

There are many like him, for example lee cooper who is based in coventry.

I just hadnt heard of him, didnt mean anything bad by calling him an obscure indpendent builder. In my opinion thats a good thing.

  • Very hard ride.

  • If Leaders are rubbish, what is good?

If Leaders were good, would that make any other bike any better or worse?

How does the status of one bike change the status of another? I'm intrigued.

  • Very hard ride.

    Fnnaaaarrrr

  • How does the status of one bike change the status of another? I'm intrigued.

It doesn't. It's just badly phrased. I blame the Daily Mail...

  • It's probably as good as any other cheapie Taiwan-built track frame... Just buy it, ride it and enjoy it... The navel-gazing should begin when the boyf decides to upgrade to something tasty and blow his lady's bikes outta the water... ;)

  • when the boyf decides to upgrade to something tasty and blow his lady's bikes outta the water... ;)

    That's a bit harsh on the girl - I doubt she's that bad-looking herself...

  • ^^^ obligatory Arf!

ha ha ha! That's fucking funny Scott! Excellent.

Oh, and his bikes are never gonna blow mine out the water. Not a chance ;)

  • so where are you getting this leader from?

  • so where are you getting this leader from?

    Vietnam, via Bangkok...

  • Can't give you rep, but that is brilliant.

  • ^Ithenkyew^

  • i've just been sick in my mouth a little

  • I got the older version secondhand for €200 with a load of extras (Miche BB, Deda Bars and Stem, some other bits...) about 6 months ago and it's a really nice frame, definitely recommend that to him

  • I was confused why people would want a Leader frame, but was mistakenly looking at the costlier 735tr frame. Now they have just released the 721tr, which differs from flickwg's 720tr in having smaller decals, and nicer looking fork ends. $189 on Ebay.
If you have a bikeforums login you can see the pics HERE - the welds look goood enough.
