Maybe a thread about all those noises your bike makes could be called for ;)
That would just do everybody's head in. It's that bad. :)

I like it here.
It changes and moves on. There's shit stuff and good, annoying threads, uplifting threads, helpful threads, funny threads and repetitive threads. There are depressingly crap threads too, but mostly they turn into a good roasting or a punning or they sink.
The 'real' life aspect makes it so much better and that is what newbies don't always realise at first. It's pretty rare that people turn up on a ride or to drinks within days of signing up so I think it can take a bit of time to get really into the culture of the forum. (<<sounds a bit wanky, that.)

Sometimes you just can't battle ignorance and close mindedness, so its pointless to even try, and for that reason i'm out.
Pot and fucking kettle.

This thread makes me sad.

fuck the lot of it, lets rely on zen and intuition to organise drinks and rides.
have a monthly jumble to sell stuff and what else do we need?
in a right productive mood today, thats the forum sorted, whats next

Wow.
I just want to say thanks to the people who have helped me out to understand the jargon, and not made me feel stupid with questions I've asked. You know who you guys/girls are. Thank you.
I've been taking advice on board, and if people don't like my personality be it, there is an ignore button, or skip what I write. I dont post in evey thread, and I'm pretty sure some other "n00bies" don't neither.
That's all I gotta say on this topic.
I'm out too.

This forum is big enough to allow for a lot of different subjects, discussions, jokes, shit talking etc....they're all ingredients in the final mix....but when people join up and just post nothing but useless shite....never so much as a single constructive thread or comment it shows a lack of respect for the forum in my opinion.

Coming from a crappy town full of yobs, thugs and ne'er do wells I have only ever witnessed two other people on two occasions on fixies anywhere near where I live.
I joined this forum to find like minded souls with whom I can share my enthusiasm and do believe I have found what I have wished for.
Anything I have posted as a "nOOb" which may appeared to anyone as disrespectful to the culture of LFGSS has been unintended and like LdnGrrl I haven't posted in every thread just for the sheer hell of it. I have enjoyed reading and observing and have been impressed with the amount of helpful/funny/interesting and witty threads I have come across and even if I appear to be a clueless fucker screaming out for a caning then so be it I am going to carry on the way I have been just because I am who I am.
Just as in real life, you either like me or you don't. I am sure though that I have found a place with far more agreeable, like minded people than I will ever find in my crappy town miles from civilisation. -

I love my town too, maybe "crappy" is just a way to describe the general populace.

Either you have just managed to point out how negative I can be or just how lucky you are to live where you do. I think it is most likely the latter though, my gorgeous wife is Dutch and she is shocked on a daily basis at the behaviour to be beheld in our town.
Mind you I have Braintree to thank for its shitness. If it was all good I would not have spent several years travelling and meeting her along the way. -

Exactly! Where I live isn't amazing, but it's better than Harlesden! (Which is the same borough)

At least Braintree has a train station. Things were a lot more grim down the road in Dunmow.

We had a train station in Peel. Alas those days are gone. however the old tracks are a nice ride.
I like horse-radish with my beef... ;]
