  • not the lock, the hole you are drilling in one end of the U-bend, is small and weak.
    thats why i changed it=)

  • i have cracked it hahahahahahaha

  • i have cracked ........hahahahahahaha

    :)

  • fuck the suspense is bloody killing me...

  • I bend bigger bars for breakfast AWOOOGA

  • Good on Brucy for trying stuff out - it might not end up working, but at least he's experimenting.

  • Yep, Brucy gets +rep even if this lock is a fail, just for the effort and afternoon suspense.

  • what's all this playa hatin'? Good lad for havin a crack! He's not asking you guys to use it! Have you never just tried to do something only to see if you could?

  • Brucy can take it... What doesnt kill you, makes you stronger!

I'm all up for him making this work. Hes made stuff work before...

  • there's no hating, fair play to him for having a damn good crack at it.

  • what's all this playa hatin'? Good lad for havin a crack! He's not asking you guys to use it! Have you never just tried to do something only to see if you could?

what like sausage making on the generation game?

that was always played for laffs

  • what about cutting a slot for the lock shown in this pic

drilling the hole in the U part going accross to fit the padlock? assuming the key slot is on one of those sides lol
sketch is crap but im sure your engineering mind can envisage!

  • to tell you the truth it has made it so much better, see you at east.

    i like the hatin.

  • finshed.

  • It's not like kryptonites first effort was any prettier...:)
    http://www.kryptonitelock.com/OurStory/History.aspx 'top right pic'

  • Finished job seems good. As said above the weak link is the padlock. Abloy make the best padlocks about but they cost as much as a kryptonite lock.

  • If you see a bike with one wheel missing one week, you go back and its missing its seatpost and saddle, go back again the week after and all that remains is a frame up ended.

... that has nothing to do about this but... if you see a lock that looks a bit home made, im sure it'll be more tempting to thieves. How do you plan to finish the D?

  • its not heat treated yet. im going to sand its paint it and put old inner tube around it.

  • finshed.

    Wow, im really impressed!

Thats an excellent change around of idea, the rod go through all the way?

Seems well stron now and worth the weight, I think you could progress this more and more, and make the ultimate lock.

  • yeah all the way through. whom here is going east drinks i will bring along to meet you all.
