Hello people. Relatively new to building my own ride, so looking to get input from people who have walked down that road before. At the moment I'm working on a Gazelle Champion Mondial AA Frame from the 70's, and looking to source some original/replica pieces, any advice?

a 10 speed cassette is thinner than a nine speed one. You need those stupid tiny spacers behind the cassette that are easy to lose. They are much more sensitive to set up and the chains don't seem to last as long.
Cheers cookie, I've heard much the same thing from some friends! A friend of a friend with the same frame had some serious shifting issues with a 10 speed as it was too large for the frame, so I think I'm going to settle for 8 and save myself some money!

Comb the classifieds section on here (also take a look at the eBay finds thread) or stick up a wanted ad. I would also check out Hilary Stones website... anyone got the link? -

Evidently not--you're about to be banned, unfortunately. Read the first post in this thread before re-registering:

Just would like to say good evening, Im Arv and have just joined. I currently commute from south east to central london and heard about this forum from a fixie convert at work,I myself do not have that bug yet but am admiring his bike too much...Looking forward to finishing in the nursery once I feel I can manage without nappies. Thx

Hi all, used to ride a Surly Steamroller, had to sell it for financial reasons a couple of years ago. Now I've got more time to start riding again but not the same budget, so I'm looking to build a cheap but strong bike. Is the nursery limited to this post, or is there other areas I can post?
