  • Problem with that bag Ed, is that if i were looking at it i would assume that Deaf is some brand, rather than the true meaning

  • yoo hoo, right on the first page of this topic in 2008 -

while in theory it would be awesome.... people will think its just a fashion label/band.

    i imagine

  • so what's the point then, if you already know that?
i agree with VV - it doesn't really get the message across, 'Deaf Rider' - or ' Caution : Deaf Rider' would actually do that much better.

  • Ed, do you still have a copy of that pic I took of you with the bag? I have lost mine.

  • Just scroll up Will FFS

  • ^ Check out Ed's sick anodized green bullhorns, bottom left.

  • I thought DEAF is some kind of grind core/noise band.

Perhaps - if you do decide to brandish your disability - you could do with a sign we'd use with an induction loop?

  • Argh, everyone needs to read the whole thread before posting anything else!

    No bar plugs neither..

  • I did.
Why improve things which are already there?!

    Don't really get it...

  • the induction loop was posted on the first page.

  • Well he's saying it's a waste of time anyway, so it's a moot point I think.

  • Hoodies are shit for riding in

  • Just scroll up Will FFS

There is another photo, dickwad, as Ed knows and as you now know too. Martial arts my arse.

  • Martial arts my arse.

    Oh I will...

  • You couldn't kick a barn door at two paces. Mainly because you wouldn't have bothered to get out of bed because you are 'ill'.

  • Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
    Am I still ill?
    Oh, am I still ill?

  • Just in case anyone is in any doubt, Max and I have never kissed, neither under an iron bridge nor anywhere else. I would rather kiss the cold dead lips of Margaret Thatcher.
    Nothing personal, Max.

  • Is there any iron bridge in London?

  • Max is a courier so he will be along shortly with his expert knowledge to tell you where Iron Bridge House is.

  • The incident between Will and I took place in Stretford.

I took a photo to immortalize the moment.

  • Max is a courier so he will be along shortly with his expert knowledge to tell you where Iron Bridge House is.

    Ha, Iron Bridge House NW1?

  • if the problem is not being visible during late/early hours, just using a reflective bag/t-shirt/hoodie with deaf ect printed on it might not enough. maybe also consider more lights to give your maximum viability. maybe a light on your messanger bag/rucksack to highlight the deaf word.

what about 2light for the rear ( one flashing, one constant), well you get the idea... other road users will notice you earlier and have more time to read the deaf message. everyone wins

I'm sure Ed can replicate it from some old wheelset and a MDF shelf:

  • Joao, look at post #123.

  • Write "blind rider" that might have a more pronounced effect.
