So you'll only date a woman who refuses to wear makeup. Cos that's fraudulent too, right?
fave joke of a sexist friend of mine (not me, obviously):
why do women wear make-up and perfume?
cos they're ugly and they smell.

I'm being baudy, Lynn. Enjoy it.

She's a fantastic track cyclist and she looks great in those photos. It was her choice to do the shoot. Not much else to say really.

Same annoying 'oooh lookie mee sexy laydeee' smile that Liz Hurley and that skinny costume dwama one who pouts too much are always pulling for the cameras.
Who actually BUYS FHM anyway?
She's really pretty in real life too* it's not just camera work. Although to be fair, she was a rubbish fuck.**
And so what if she wants to model. How long is her career as a cyclist? Girl's got a pension to think about. Fuck it, if people thought I was good looking enough pay me money to take pictures without my clothes on, I'd say thank you for the money and be flattered about the compliment. AND I'd love the attention I got afterwards as well. Good luck to her.
*OK, I may have lied about that bit. Although I'm sure she is.
** And that bit too. But I'm sure she's a lovely person. -

Maybe she wants a new car.
I'd happily get my kit off for cash... In fact, I've bloody done it for free.

I'm not sure entering a stripping competition counts though.

I have to pay for the privilege.
Flashing on Oxford Street isn't a priviledge.

I'd get my kit off for a load of cash - but then i haven't spent years being objectified so women might see it a little differently.

Yeah, this is lame. Hot, but lame.

I have to say, it’s nice to see a woman gracing the cover of a men’s magazine who’s famous for something other than winning a reality TV show/getting her tits out/dating a footballer etc.
A very good point. All different types of women can be reduced to an assortment of body-parts for fat-wristed onanists to spaff over.
Not just the thick ones!

As others have no doubt already said, due to the UCI's failure to award equal prize money for men and women, VP is just using this opportunity to supplement her income, and probably doubled her annual income by doing so.

Lets just hope she doesn't go down the Anna Kournikova route and spend all her time infront of the camera and not on the courts.
She only went that route cos she was shite at tennis
I still don't find the attraction with her anyway, nice body but she looks like an 8yr old boy

Cars, tits, celebrity, football, and scandal, the life-affirming 5-a-day for the (very) average male in this country. Any combination of these is a headliner.
Not forgetting FHM Honeys, readers girlfriends and sex advice from Jodie Marsh
.....and dodgy injuries - that page used to make me wretch! *
*BTW, I never bought FHM, just used to flick through now and then......working for a Fashion PR/Sales company, mags all over the gaff

The UCI is the world governing body for cycling and don't dish out prize money so I'm not sure where you got that from Tom.
There continued discrimination against female cyclists at the Olympics is a source of shame for them and I hope that British Cycling and HM Government are successful in their attempts to achieve equality in terms of medals available for female track cyclists. VB could have equalled Chris Hoy's achievements and won 3 golds at the Beijing Games but for the fact that there was only the female sprint available to her, with no keirin or team sprint on the women's programme. It's disgraceful that the UCI continue to allow this.

For the 2012 Olympics, we should hire out HH Velodrome and run unlicensed events for all the one absent from the womens list. Admittedly the money pot would be pretty low but at least the principle would be made and some of the T-shirts and spoke cards would have to be worth a mint by then.

Fair enough Andy - I misunderstood their role - but regardless of the source of prize money it is not equal across gender, such as is the case with thw Olympic disciplines.

What!? How could you be so simple minded? What about the objectification of women, the inequality, the blatant sexism .. jeez, you are such a neanderthal.

I don't really care, but I'd like to point out there are better ways to prove it's possible to be sporty and beautiful without stripping off and having photos of your body photoshopped so they can appear in one of the world's most moronic publications for a target audience of 12 year old boys and some slightly older retards who like to talk about sex on the internet because they haven't got any other outlet. I bet over 99% of FHM's readership have no fucking idea who Victoria Pendleton is. Laaaaaame.
totally agree^ the person is question has said before in interviews that she is consistantly frustrated by lack of exposure for female athletes, well now shes got more.
I just reckon its sad that she goes through that method of mediating herself, and that society in general cares more for a version, representation, of the real thing thats titillating.
Awesome athlete, far more attractive imo hacking it on a bike. -

I rate Nicole Cooke far, far more highly.
Track cycling?
