ah i'm only messing. some of them are okay. i had some EL84s once that went all microphonic in a vox AC15 pretty sharpish. Switched back to the previously installed "Harma" branded NOS European ones Watford Valves do and they lasted... are still lasting.

To be honest since i've stopped playing live every other day i've stopped paying too much attention to these things. I used to be obsessed with NOS military valves, mullards, phillips etc etc. I found a huge box full of wildly expensive "best money can buy" valves (original 50s boxes the lot) under my bed the other day and couldn't even remember which amps they were for.

used to have some mullard 6l6's, i got form an old tranny shop, they were great.
after something similar. used to be right into it about 15 years ago. always wanted to do a home brew 5e3 or similar.

me too actually. watford valves do kits now don't they? i love champs but i'm not sure my soldering is up to it. last time i tried to wire up a tele i ended up burning my fingers to bits and taking it to phillipe to fix (which he di din 5 seconds flat).
