You couldn't get away with this if you were buying a house in your homeland!
-
• #13134
Bearing in mind it would only be worth £20 anyway.

• #13135
I am walking round the house with it on, its really handy! I could get used to this....y'know cause its handy not just cause I know how pissed off you are....I might start wearing it all the time....

To further annoy me, like I needed it, one of my velcro fucking straps let go again on the way down Hornsey hill. No biggie, skid the other side. Other fucking velcro piece of shit let's go. OH FUCK!!! Managed to slow down safely, thank christ. Re-do the straps, give a tug to make sure they're ok and set off again slowly. Try a skid, strap comes undone, bollocks. Traffic stops suddenly, skid again and you've guessed it other strap lets go. Cue Geoff hitting a parked car sideways. Fuck! No apparent damage to car but bike won't roll. Carry bike home and find rear triangle bent. Wank!
Lesson to learn. Bin your Burro velcro straps especially if your brakless. This could have been so much worse! At least its only a langster that's possibly died.

Or fit a brake etc....

Was it wet? Velcro fails in the rain...
It was wet earlier in the day but should've dried out by the time it happened. It's been happening more often recently so it seems to be a fault with the design of the straps. There is only 1 contact point for the velcro on the Burro straps and it isn't a loopover type like restraps so its not actually that strong. Been trying it off the bike and it lets go quite easily. I've worked out a way of improving it but gonna run with clips and straps when I source some decent ones.
On another note. A massive thank you to Mikey and Louise 5000 for the excellent hospitality yesterday. Your garden is ace and we'll have to return the favour soon.
North Drinks bbq club anyone?

I've got a horrible image in my head now of you wandering round your place with Rosie strategically positioned to protect what dignity you have left.;-)
I'll bring that bag clip on Tuesday for you (minus the saddle)

Just about to start the BBQ in my garden,,, anyone want to come?
-
• #13146
Fair enough. I've got some holdfast replicas which are doing well, but I do wonder about the life of the velcro....
