  • tease..

I've seen the whole thing though ;]

  • Where did you order the DfA from, Andy?

    Tracksupermarket.com.

  • Nice. Whats it going on?

My road bike that might be ready by the end of the year.

  • They do that a lot. I ordered a light bracket from them for £2.99 with free postage, it came in a box that size which must have wiped out their profits for the sale.

Yep, Lizardskin bar tape in my case.
My wife accused me of hiding the evidence.

  • Obviously not just got it but it came today..

Always love getting well packaged stuff from hubjub (handwritten notes and all)..

  • I had one of those, but with a slightly nicer (IMO) plastic dip. It was textured for better grip. Excellent chain tool till I lent to an oaf who put his chain on the wrong tabs and bent them to buggery.
i tried bending them back, but they had gone' floppy' and would bend under much less pressure than before.

  • the one pictured isn't exactly the same as the one I got through the post.. The handle is a different shape and the red covering looks like a different material. More rubbery looking on the one I have.

  • I got this one the other day.

i got a packet of haribo thrown in last time. hubjub ftw

  • That one weighs 5.5grams. Having trouble source water though. All the stuff I find weighs 500grams per half litre FFS.

We have shit loads of pentane knocking about the lab. Thats stuffs only 315grams per half litre.

    has a swig

but the density of H2O is 1g/cm^3 i.e. you cant escape the fact.

  • My road bike that might be ready by the end of the year.

Very jealous. Those arent made in my size. Are you getting the stem. The Extralite stem is one of my all time favourate bike components. Clean looking, stiff, and uber light.

but the density of H2O is 1g/cm^3 i.e. you cant escape the fact.

Yeah, and the pentane tasted shite. So I'll take the weight penalty.

  • Mine have a flat inner profile, while I was expecting a more pointed profile. pointed is more aero.

Really? I would have thought that the profile including tire would need to be symetrical since the leading edge becomes the trailing edge and vice versa.
So is a pointed leading edge better than a rounded trailing edge?

    That's the one.

Was'nt a serious comment TBH. My CXP 33's hve a sharpe profile at the spoke holes, and thus 'look' very fast. My carbon rims have a 5mm wide flat face at the spoke drillings.

The important part of a rims aero dynamics, is related to how it affects air flowing onto the spokes. So while something like a tear drop, with the tyre acting as the round edge, and the inner face of the rim, acting as the 'pointy' bit, seems to make sence. Quite how this affects the air flow that the spokes experiance, is a bit beyond me TBH.

  • It's worse than you think, since the air is seldom flowing straight on to the wheel. Any slight cross wind makes the wheel "side slip" in aeronautical terms, and then a sharp edge is a liability, since it stalls, causing a lot of drag, and as the drag vector isn't in line with the wheel it generates a lot of side force, turning the wheel and sending you into the nearest ditch.

  • dont lie, the post man does delivery at this time...

  • is it a pram?

  • Dog-poo cleaning robot?

  • Is it yellow and lightweight?

  • Corima?

    Congrats!

  • is it that one that went for around £500?
