Unless you're using Shimano cleats Ed?
Wellgo cleat, the pedal was cheap to be fair, and tiny.

They are copies of the discontinued Shimano LX SPDs, although they suffered from annoying silver bits:
I went for M520s on my Orrell. They have annoying silver bits too though.
I have heard that the Wellgo SPDs work better with the supplied Wellgo cleats but less well with Shimano cleats. So if you are planning on using Shimano cleats in them spotter I'd be interested to know how you get on.
you know what that never occurred to me, my shimano cleats wore out and i got wellgo ones that said there were compatible. which they are, but i found myself unclipping when i pulled up hard. I assumed that it was because the pedals are pretty old and knackered but maybe its because they're just different makes? I'll let you know how wellgo pedals work with wellgo cleats for me.

I find myself unclipping too when pulling too hard (wellgo cleat and pedal).
I wonder if the wellgo one based on the muilt-release cleat rather than the single release one.

My old Cannondale came with Wellgo SPD copies, found that I could pull my foot out when least convenient, and a bit of mud in the mech made clipping in impossible.
Z-, will not buy again.

I thought that too, but I checked and it says single on the cleats. but then again just because it says it doesn't mean its so.
There's nothing more unnerving than flying down a large hill and having your foot unclip and your knee almost wack you in the chin. -

You don't need to buy cleat - it came with it.
cheapest one is time alium, do a price match and bob your uncle.
-
• #441
You heard the man, bob your uncle.
-
• #442
true but still i'd need to spend £70ish for two new pairs. also my uncles are david, rod, roger and martin, not a single robert.
Edit: that being said I could ask my friend if he can get them trade for me. -
• #443
No dude, he's telling you to* bob your uncle*
-
• #444
like apple bobbing.
-
• #445

"Yeah so we went back to mine and a i bob'd my uncle right on her"

You can get Shimano M520s in black for £13 posted on eBay. New! Crazy. If you were considering sending the Wellgos back.
Shimano SM-SH51 are the cleats that are meant to fit, internet consensus does seem to be that because they aren't quite the same they don't work quite as well as the Wellgo ones.

wellgo spd copies are that, crap!
