maxis re-fuse is where it's at.
is this still tru? I know they make a nice skreeeeechy/whippy noise when you skid.
-
• #108
not too bad, great when brand new great in the wet and they do make a buzzzzz sound when skidding, last pretty long no punctures went right through to the very last layer
@teenshane, just measured the Randonneur it's 25mm wide, gator on the front is 23mm, so i reckon your be ok :)

detonators seem great i got one for a fiver and i've played polo and ridden it around for 4 months, no wear yet. And gabes as colonel hippy once said "are you a fucking moron>" don't put a worn out tyre from the back on the front.

I don't skid....well, for the moment. But I think the Continental Ultra Sport might be a good bet.
No no no! They are the worst tyres ever. The sidewall on them is like tissue paper. I had one and it lasted only a little over a month even with my skinny ass.

Very light and very very grippy but sidewalls are very thin as a result. Hard to puncture but my rear died from a slashed sidewall. And good luck trying to skid it.
It's basically slightly HTFU road racing tyre. Standard issue for the London Dynamo :) -

Gonna give these a go:
Vredestein Perfect Touring + reflective strip. The above version is the widest version.(37c)
I went for the 28's.
Supposed to be highly puncture proof and 30% off at Parker.
Will let you know how they turn out. -

easy now Blowie.

had the Randonneur's on mine for 2 weeks now, seem pretty good, not that big for a 28, didn't think it would sqeeze in but had no trouble they are pretty narrow. more like a 26. and no probs getting on a cxp33
^ what he said. Went out last night with one on the back for the first time and it's great. No need to break in at all and it slides around really smoothly and predictably with no sudden grabbing. Can see why the Mash SF guys go on about them.
The compound is amazing, feels like your riding around with Mars Plastic for a rear tyre.
