Cheers... Yes more yoga needed! A marginally less poor photo here, will come back when they're healed up, pretty bruised at the minute.

Where'd you get those Tom?

On the "people in Leeds getting their legs tattooed", I got this done by Sam Layzell the other day.

Also the text just below it, "it's ok not to drink milk". It turns out that getting the side of your ankle tattooed reeeeaaally hurts

..or put the camera on a pile of books or something (level to the tattoo), and use the camera's self timer?

For the life of me couldn't find self timer on iPhone 5s ?!

The built-in camera app does not have one (why not is beyond me), you'd have to get a third-party app that has that feature.

Okay, am now over the pain of previous tattoo, and am thinking of something in a less painful/more fleshy part of the body.
Have an idea for one on my calf, which incorporates three feathers, variation on the winged calf thing, but would like the feathers to be in three different styles. I've got some reference illustrations of the styles I'd like, but are there any recommendations for london artists who work well in different styles? Many thanks

Have you had your calf done before? I found it very uncomfortable in places, line work was particularly bad. I appreciate that everyone is different, but I was very surprised.

Quads, super comfy, like a gentle tickling.
Well recommended. -

Have you had your calf done before?
nope, but I'm thinking it can't be as bad as the crippling pain of having thick line work over my hip.
@eyebrows I'm thinking of getting a big piece on my thigh, some sort of tribal design maybe, what do they call whole thigh pieces, a short? Anyway that's going to take a bit of thinking about, before a final decision is made..

Thigh work was harmless. A bit painful as it got towards the knee, but on the thigh itself it was absolutely fine.

If you happen to be Samoan I have always liked the Pe'a. The dudes who have them know that they are more rad than the dudes without them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pe'a

My calves were pretty grim, definitely a mistake having them both done in the same session. Still, it's only for a short while... Worth it.
The front of my quad was pretty much painless , I had gone into getting my calves done thinking they would be the same.

Mmm. Like those. Artist seems to be much more aware of his colour palette than many in that style.
Just finished my calves, by eck they're stinging a bit... Won't be doing that again.
