..good!
Nice typeface. Though the 'L' is sort-of avoiding the 'ondon' IMO.
Actually I don't like these dagger tattoos that much, but this one's fresh!

Damn that shit cray. Who by? Guy?
-
• #7359
Think I'm going to get it done by a local guy called Eric The Viking.
Guy works out of Berlin so sort of heavy cost wise to get multiple sessions done...
But want my hands and a half sleeve done by Guy soon -

Not feeling that one Dakin. You a religious person?
-
• #7363
this is just for you! <3
That's cool! I'm thinking I need more HP-related tattoos but my neck needs fixing up/covering up first.
Do you have any other HP tattoos apart from the Deathly Hallows?
-
• #7364
I thought you meant HP Lovecraft there for a minute.
-
• #7365
I am definitely getting a HP Lovecraft tattoo eventually. Maybe a giant onyx tower.

I believe in God and Jesus. Not the bullshit that goes along with a lot of "religion" though. And the original artist, Albrecht Durer is one of my all time inspirations.
Obviously each to your own.
It's not going to be as busy as that though, some sections won't be in it -
• #7367
Dakin, this is my Durer arm, still not finished!
-

I would call believing in God as being religious, in that you have a belief some supernatural entity that created humanity or the universe exists, but no actual proof or scientific evidence of it whatsoever (the basis of all religions).
A man called Jesus definitely existed alright, but I dont think he had anything to do with the creation of the universe or this planet... just the same as any other prophet calling himself the offspring of some extra-terrestrial being out there.
I have a tattoo from a CERN graphic, I guess because I think that knowledge and understanding comes from science rather than superstition.
Yes yes I know... religion thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Tidy! His work just translates so well into tattoos!

Fair enough. Again, each to their own. I'm not some bible bashing nutter.
I believe what I believe though init -

Its a pretty epic piece to get, either way.
-
• #7371
as long as your reasons for getting a tattoo are your reasons, its all good.
-
• #7372
Hell yeah!
-
• #7373
Even if its a depiction of a scene from fairy stories for adults, stories that cause sectarian division, war, abuse, homophobia, disrespect for women, and so on?
You put Jesus on your body, you're aligning yourself with the aforementioned bible bashers... imho. Its too strong of a symbol to be decontextualised just for the aesthetic of it.
Here's some nice people who are also into visible signs of Christianity.
The bullshit that goes along with religion is part of the package.
Just sayin, etc.

• #7374
I'm sorry, but no it doesn't.
I'm not even slightly religious, but its clear that you have the wrong idea of what religion entails, especially Christianity*, of which there are so many codes and personal versions that suggesting that a belief in the Christian God aligns you with even your own family's belief may be pushing it.*(of the Monotheistic religions- others allow even more flexibility in belief- and actually so do Islam and Judaism and Zoro-Astrianism- the last of which I truly don't know enough about to comment- though I beleive from what I've read it was a good precursor)

Well my aim is to change that stereotype by doing things of love and kindness as Jesus did in the bible.
For every twat like those above there is someone doing good things in the name of God. Regardless of whether people believe what I believe or not, I want to do good in anyway I can.The teachings of Jesus are very different from the understandings of those people.
edit: and if people are so quick to judge me by my tattoos then they're missing the importance of me as a person.
I always thought it was for MJ, Hell's Angel's ting, innit?
