  • Anyone here seen / read this yet? It looks interesting... was thinking of treating myself to a birthday / christmas present of it.

I have it. Only browsed so far. Haven't had time to sit down with it properly.

have it since day 1 and it is amazing. including already known, but also unknown pictures. if you love the "new" tattoos, buy it!

Its a bit expensive (£30), would either of you be interested in a temporary borrow / trade for some books I have? I'll look after it and keep it in mint condition. Just for a few weeks.

I have the Russian Prison Tattoo Encyclopaedias Vol. I & III, Science Ink, and the Day of the Dead art book to borrow.

  • Also, BUMP and please everyone go make a cuppa!

    : P

just found this on tumblr -

  • Savlon

I have to agree with Markyboy here. Savlon is an antiseptic, intended to pull things out of the skin that are not usually there. Not recommended for tattoo aftercare at all I've had various artists specifically tell me not to use it. I think it's kind of like the rookie mistake of using WD40 as a lube, seems to help but really not the best move.

  • ^^ also this is awesome. Looking forward to being heavily tattooed OAP one day.

  • Defo no no to Savlon

borrowing isn't possible as i'm living in germany and trading isn't also possible as i have the russians also :) sorry. invest in art and buy the book! christmas is close, a good gift too!

  • I would also never consider going to an interview without covering up my arms.

I would never consider going to an interview with my arms covered. I also make a point of not removing my lip or nose rings or plugs for interviews.

No point going though the interview process, being offered a job, accepting, getting all psyched up for it then turn up on first day and they have an issue with something I'd hidden at interview.

Admittedly I'm currently (and recently) employed as a bike tech at a velodrome so not quite the same as interviews for legal/financial sector jobs but given that Iwork for the City Council I did think they might take umbrage at my appearance.

Pretty sure appearance has been responsible for my not getting a couple of jobs in the past but it's been shit like photography assistant and Costa coffee so wasn't too bothered.

  • Thomas Hooper and Oliver Peck give each other palm tattoos, hilarity ensues!

    http://stewartrobson.com/2012/12/hooper-versus-pecker/

  • That was funny as, ta for posting that.
Need to htfu and finish my ankle after seeing that.

  • Oliver Peck pulling away and gibbering is brilliant!

  • I don't imagine there are many jobs where tattoos are an issue, are there?

I think it usually depends on the managers. My manager doesn't like facial piercings or visible tattoos. He's worried about what the client it going to think of them, not a personal thing. I'm lucky as I just have ear piercings and a tattoo that peeks of t-shirt collars.

    oops, missed a page.

  • Liked the Om music as hooper was zoned out getting tattooed... Was he wearing a tshirt with Taz on it?

  • Savlon

    Seriously? Oh dear.

    Guys, I was just joking.

  • My mate and awesome artist Tyson Arndt is guesting at firth street the first week in January. Check out his grams.

Love the multi-coloured gem (4th pic)

Anyone know anything about Kids Love Ink East or Good Times on Curtain Rd? Someone called Jaclyn Rehe is working there and I like her style.

  • Good Times is Nicole Lowe's place isn't it?
Speak to Digger. Nicole did his whole bodysuit.

Kids Love Ink East is good from what i've heard. I only have first hand experience of the Deptford shop though. I don't think there is any overlap of artists between the two shops.... they are just both part of the KLINK family.
