  • You lot should get jobs at Lush smellies.
They only hire people with visible colour tattoos.
Went to an annual staff meeting it was like a hipster tattoist convention

  • Yep, I used to work at Lush, my manager was covered head to toe in tattoos. Also, on that note, they do a hand cream called "Handy Gurugu" which is the single best thing i've ever used to help keep a healing tattoo moisturised.

  • I could never work in a Lush, I'd pass out from the fumes - walking past is bad enough

  • you get used to it after a while, but you do get some funny looks as you cycle past people on the way home and they get a waft of you

  • Chris Dettmer

  • Peter Aurisch

    Love it.

  • ^ This is ace but I do wonder how well it would age?

  • Probably better than most.
It already looks shonky (in a good way)

  • ^^^ this is really daft & will look like pavement pizza in five years

  • Duke Riley

  • Eckel

  • which is the single best thing i've ever used to help keep a healing tattoo moisturised.
I use Lush Ultrabalm for healing. Amazing stuff.

I agree, it fucking stinks. Worse than Subway even. Both horrid.

  • Peter Aurisch

    Love it.

I don't see the attraction with this style at all. Not even fresh when the colours are all there and the lines are sharp. Imagine what it'll look like in 10 years.

    Eckel

That's awesome. The shading is fantastic. Only thing I'm not sure about is the fingers, but it would be presumptious of me to pretend to know better. Eckel's work is awesome. He's been in my homeland for a while, but just left the shop to go travelling. I really like this piece of his as well:

  • That Tiger looks like it's been drawn with fluorescent highlighters..... am I missing the point?

  • I use Lush Ultrabalm for healing. Amazing stuff.

yeah! that's good too. Try a bit of dream cream when you've had it for a couple of weeks and you don't want something so intensive.

  • Valerie Vargas is taking appointments for the London Tattoo convention in September

  • I was looking at the Duke Riley stuff all day.
So have shot him an email.

  • I feel like some of these could make nice tattoos- not the style I'd want though.

    Re: Tiger-
I'd like it without the color.
    I don't like color tattoos.
(on me- I quite appreciate them on others)

  • I had thought that.
I bought the book a while back, after I had seen the picture on Platform. I asked a tattooist friend what he thought and said that they would be difficult to pull off...

    I recommend the book though!

  • Yeah. I could see that- negative blackwork would be the basis for it I guess?
Will look out for the book.

  • after i had to cancel my appointment with sarah b. bolen in march i have now a new one in september.

Usually around a week in for me. Odd but true; I use dream cream to style my hair.

  • My friend Cassandra Frances did this on me today, pretty stoked!
