  • All of the above. It'll cause offence In the wrong place

  • What, a swan?!

  • 'Reclaiming' swastikas should be done unambiguously, imo.

that ain't a swastica though, it's the other way round.

erm, no. a swastika is just the symbol. it can be either way around. the Nazi symbol was a clockwise swastika, but swastika as a word and as a symbol has existed for a long time.

other people who use swastikas may attribute different meanings to each direction.

for a few years I wore a bracelet made of swastikas, since they could flip over they varied in direction. pretty sure it was never read as neo-nazi (green jade swastikas on red cord). was a useful mental aid for something but I don't wear it anymore.

  • That symbol has been discussed in this thread quite a few times.

    oh, sorry.

    beautiful swan though.

Very offensive - they taste terrible.

  • What is the deal with the photo-realistic tattoo style; is there any info / advice on how they age and fade? I've seen some amazing recent stuff (Dmitriy Samohin) which I really like but haven't come across any older realistic pieces.
BTW hassan's work is much more detailed than those pictures can show.

Swan is only offensive if it's the other way round.

Amazing, anyone know what style of tattoo this is know as?

  • i know the difference and meaning between a swastika and the symbol used in ww 1&2.
but this one with hitler as an indian has nothing to do with swastika, maybe just a provocation or for fun. by the way, it's ugly.
