It's not worth waiting months for something which you will have for the rest of your life?
We have greatly differing opinions.

Its something that's pretty small and below the ankle. Im not saying to go some shitty back alley unlicensed place, just that waiting for ages and ages for someone super amazing to do something thatll take 20 mins or so might be a bit much.
There are loads of people in London who could do an excellent job that aren't booked for months. However thats just my view and I cant fault Object because he is actually right, if you want 100% confidence (or as near as you can get to 100%) that itll be perfect then waiting for the top dogs is the best idea.

Apologies, I missed the important detail (Small & above the ankle).

I imagine a few of you must have had some polynesian work done.
I'm planning on getting a half sleeve - anyone got any personal recommendations for someone in London or down south generally?

thing is something that simple on your ankle could be difficult as the lines need to be perfect and lines can be difficult on boney areas.
Looking at divine-canvas.com - there is some HORRIBLE stuff on there, look at the scarification page.... just too far imo. way, way too far.

There is a very big difference between not liking something because it doesn't fit with your sensibilities and disliking it because it is poorly done.
I'm not keen on some of that scarification but it is very well performed.

like i said - in my opinion, way too far.
the lotus flower looks amazing, as does the solid black sleeve which has then had scar work done on it.
Each to their own but I just really don't like some of the facial stuff, or implants. maybe because I don't understand the motivation behind BMs that extreme.

All this aftercare stuff is a big fad in the tattooing world when I first got a tattoo in 95 ish I was told don't use Vasiline you may as well use axel grease. Savlon was a favorite back then then it was preperation now its that Bepanthen the latest thing now is to wrap with cling film works as all the big scab's that you were tempted to pic off as scab's can be showerd of as a slime I was advised to use cling film for 24 hours and that's it, was orignally used on burns victim's. At the end of the day if some who has just had there first one was told to use peanut butter and dog shit they more than likey would

It is simple, but bear in mind that anywhere on the foot or hands, or anywhere that has creases due to frequent movement (joints), won't keep as well. It will bleed/fade faster b/c the skin of the hands and feet turns over and thickens faster. I have a tattoo above my right pinkie toe that I can show you when you come to get Clefty's bag if you like, I got it done 16 years ago (wow!) and you can see how it's survived.
If you get it done bigger it'll last better. Smaller text/images bleed faster.

French Thomas did some stuff for me quite a few years back, he was very good. He's still at Into You I believe

+1 on Tomas Tomas at into you for polynesian work, he's doing my friend Will's sleeve's at the moement, the work is great and by all accounts he's a thoroughly awesome guy as well.

His work is excellent from the stuff I've seen. Try Matt Black at New Wave in Muswell Hill too. Thomas refers work to him occasionally and he is excellent. He's doing my 3/4 sleeve at the minute incorporating dotwork into it and it's looking good so far. Cheaper than Into You too.

I was also told to use Savlon some ten years ago. Had some tribal stuff done on top of my hip bone. It healed well, but I was tempted to pick off some tiny scab left on the edge (probably deeper cut in a sensitive spot) and not the outline is smudged there. I'm not sure how much it had to do with me troubling that and how much with the fact, that I did the tattoo in Stratford :-)

I would dearly love to incorporate mathematics into some future tattooing but the issue that I have will always be deciding which bit of maths to choose.
How about some of the equations featured in the popular film "Good Will Hunting"?

Don't make me stab you.
I could do with some more scarification
Surely not worth waiting for months to get tattooed by some of the more booked up artists with something that simple and small.
