TS moves house and the next day the junction at the end of his street is made more accessible for the elderly. Coincidence?

He moved to the ground floor of his house for step-free access.

There's a lot of woolly thinking behind that 'campaign' ...

Can't believe they tried to spin this yarn
Let me clarify something. I’m Popsop editor. It has come to my attention that you found one of Popsop articles to be racist. I’m very sorry, however, that is not true. That was just the wrong wording and factual inaccuracy. NO racism was meant there. And, of course, it has nothing to do with Toyota’s “guerrilla actions”.

"The district, which used to be quite an unpleasant part of the city in the 80s (it was associated with bombing and riots then), has whitened its image and become a nice, multicultural area—and the new project adds another lively and optimistic touch to the transformed atmosphere of this place."

csb alert
I had a fascinating conversation with the two brothers that live in Norman House while I was moving... A doodlebug dropped on Effra Parade in April '44 and destroyed a lot of the terraced houses at my end of the street... That's why the little council block is there... He took me up the road and showed me the cracks in the house closest to the explosion... "Look at that, they shoulda torn that one down as well!"Apparently, he took some photos a coupla days after the explosion... Really wanna see them, bit scared to go in his hoase tho'...

Holloway Road - a very big one with a car park where the Jones Brothers department store used to bee (although you were probably in Swindon when that closed). It is the older of the two. Been there for 15 or 20 years.
Yeah but that's in Holloway(N7) not Islington(N1)

Thankfully missed that one but I was in Soho, working on the rickshaws, when Old Compton Street one went off. That was Fsked up. Was living on Hanbury Street at the time and was about 50m away when the Brick Lane one went off too. Weird week.

As mentioned in the other place I reckon Nunhead or Camberwell are both good shouts in terms of price/space, as is Sydenham.
I think Forest Hill is full now though.
BTW I'm also getting rid of a Cambridge Audio C4 CD player w/remote... It's in beautiful condition and a bargain at £20!
