mrs_com grew up in Angel Town and then Evandale Road when Angel Town was re-developed. We lived with mrs_com-in-law for two years when I moved over to London (studying for an MA). While I enjoyed my time there to an extent, I do not miss living there.

As a place to land (and it's not quite Hobson's choice), and make a start, I guess I'd be feeling less nervous knowing at least this much.
Cheers @stevo_com -

Commute will be to Queensway-ish or, hopefully, en vélo!
So you may often find yourself crossing Clapham Road as you go from Stockwell Road to Binfield Road or the opposite way. There's a set of traffic lights specially for you, but be prepared to be blocked or nearly t-boned on more or less a daily basis. That junction seems to have an almost infinite supply of RLJ-ing cocks, blind to anything but their cat 5 commuter race.
In the east-bound/return direction, you get the bonus of wobbly nodder RLJers emerging from Stockwell Road to turn right up Clapham Road. They often time it so that they're directly in front of you when you get the green light.

Does anyone local have a pair of bolt cutters I could borrow to cut some hubs out of old wheels I want to rebuild. All the spokes have seized...
-
• #2657
I haz bolt cutters. Probably not the best but did well enough to cut the bike chain of the moron who bitch-locked his bike to mine outside Westfield.

I haz dremel - SE19

• #2659
I do and I'm home all week. Drop me a PM if that's convenient.

Cool thanks guys.
I have a Dremel, would that work? Good shout if so.
Failing that I'll nip round to see Bruce as he doesn't live up a big hill. Sorry aroogah.

I've gone through spokes with pliers before, although that wasn't very good for the pliers. Spokes are not hardened so a dremel will definitely work, just not as quickly as bigger cutters. Factor in the time taken to get them, I suppose.

Sure. Should be home by 6pm.

Aces. I'll PM you.

the writer of that article has obviously never been to the marquis on a sunday to enjoy the sausage rolls, pickled onions and pint of Guinness accompanied by stoke vs west brom in the background.

Not eaten or drunk there but stuck my nose in as I was on the way back from TKMarni the other day. Good (but expensive) brunch menu and pizzas looked tasty.
Clearly spent some money on the place. Looks good -

Hope they keep the building nice always like it dispute it having that cut and shut front when it was offices. Will they have square plates?
I guess lighting strikes everywhere eventually :-(
Wits-kept-well-about-you and all the usual familial advice notwithstanding, can't keep them in bubblewrap. Just going to switch to the parents thread, got something in my eye.
