haha, rob brakeless on riser's :)
I'm fairly sure he had a polo mallet in is had at one point too.
Those bikes are such wicked fun, even with the laurel and hardy back wheel that was going on on the one I tried.
No parts as such, but I have plenty tools, grease and a bit of know how, so will help out with pleasure.
Gaffer tape works fine as make do rim tape provided you keep pressures down, 80psi range.
Tempted to buy an archie wilkison after trying these out.

Is anyone who lives near HH going to West beers this week so I can donate those MTB tyres in a lazy manner?
-
• #87
Possibly, but I've noticed my girlfriend has sneakily put 'Cook dinner for your lovely girlfriend' in my diary for Thursday night.
Thanks for all the other offers, I'll try and PM you all at some point over the next couple of days...

There were some 26" wheels abandoned on Kingsland Road earlier, outside the funny little bike shop (by Scooter Den) if you still need some.

Today, changed a few saddles, gaffer-taped some rims, changed some tubes....and we now have three (sort of working) bikes....
"The famous" Jason C helped me out a bit and we had a bit of a knock-around in the car park...

Wow, these are really beginning to take shape. Would like to see an old-school bikes vs. new-school bikes match.

There is an amazing Irish grass polo video that comes up on You tube once you have watched the clip above (which is jolly good in itself of course).

Nice work chaps. I've got some tyres here. I think my old man might have a front wheel. Oh I've got a saddle as well.

I've got an email (sadly at work) written to all the people offering bits and bobs. I'll send it tomorrow to arrange a convenient time to meet / collect.
Winston, do you want my speedway bike to add to the collection?

Ahem..that funny little bike shop as you call it is actually a wicked little bike shop, main man there fixed an old unicycle I was lucky enough to pick up for free but which was unipedal at the time..he found an old crank behind the counter, welded it on, stuck the pedal on, and demonstrated how to ride it..so please don't slag them off..they'd probably even give you bits or help for the bike polo cause for free if you spoke to them nicely ;-]
I've got a pair of psycho II tyres for you recidivists.
You may need to trim some side-knobbles, they are 1.95.
