But I'd respray it as it's got ugly colours/graphics and seems to be a bitch of a bike to co-ordinate a decent looking build. Every time I've seen one I feel a bit sick

That FELT K2 on the other hand has defo gotta take serious consideration, especially over the Trek

out the back the other day they had a seriously new-looking cinelli with chrome lugs. i couldn't quite see if it had vertical drops or track ends though, but it looked very lovely.

looked at the fuji track pro=)
Thanks people, evans liverpool street had a t1 and the fuji, when you get up close to the trek it looks like shit and for and extra 100 for the fuji, i WANT, not drilled for brakes no holes for bottles i love it perfect for herny.

i think you said that you prefer the track pro.
if so, good for you. it could do with cleaner decals, but you're right, good for the track - if that's what you meant, unless you were referring to a hernia that might benefit from the attacking riding position of the pro.

I'd say a big NO to the trek, and go for either the vigorelli, the track pro, or the felt (I'd go for the......... felt probably). All of which look nicer than the trek, and all of which have better components.
^ in that case, take the track pro for a test ride, then if you like it, don't buy it from evans, get it from biddlebikes.co.uk for much less money.

I've not ridden the T1, but if I was buying a new track bike at that price I'd expect to have Campagnolo or Sugino75 cranks & a good BB... and probably better wheels.
IMHO 90% of the copy-writing and tech-nonsense from Trek/Giant/HugecyclebrandX is a nice way of saying "we've found a way to reduce manufacturing costs further".

I've had a bike before from evans, IMO i dont think they build them up that great. Another reason to possible follow asms approach in looking on the www.
and in terms of the wheel truing... smallbrownbike of the forum has an open toolbox day on sunday afternoon and doind a bit of evening fixin.
