The excuses being made are that the two secondary schools are both single sex. Which is just bullshit. The dubious rationale for single secondary sex schools is keeping adolescent hormones out of education. They should be able to cope with having some 9yos in the same building for two hours. Besides, they could have offered the same lessons at both schools. Unless, of course, the secondary school for girls doesn't teach design and technology...

Jesus Christ, how far gone does one have to be to make that original statement. The depressing thing is that they’d read that fantastic response and think ‘well that’s an overreaction’....

It is all part of the "culture wars": Pit one group as completely different from another (as if LGBT Christians and conservatives don't exist...), generate a media circus and don't ask yourself if you really benefit from all this fear mongering by people pulling the strings and your own reaction.

And like with Farage and others the opinions are so ridiculous and genuinely unwholesome some people will lose their patient and be blunt, fuelling the victim narrative that already exists.

Sometimes it feels the world needs a group hug.
