Yes, it was a much more streamlined process than with PayPal.
What I’ve not had to do with a ‘real’ bank is deal with them having allowed someone to make use of my account to receive funds for a bunch of fake iPod listings on eBay.

The Prius came out in 97. Tesla started in 2003. I guess Elon is so good for you that it warps the space time continuum.
-
• #24529
Would be good if Tesla paused making 75 grand private cars and started working on decent electric public transport. Just saying.

I'm not about to launch a point-by-point breakdown of why Elon Musk is a knobber and his business ideas are cack. It's just too much internet.
I'll say this though. If you express any positive sentiment about Musk, I will assume that you'd like to meet him in person, but you're afraid that you'll accidentally call him dad.

abso fuckn lutely.
i mean, did you all miss the bit where he STOPPED HIS WORKERS UNIONISING?
the techbro gaslighting is astounding.

• #24532
Tesla gives him money for space
Tesla doesn't make money, neither in terms of profit nor cashflow.
It / he does have a good track record in raising capital from mom&pop investors though...

He’s not first, but he’s making a more desirable car. The Prius is practical at best, but it has zero of the cool the Tesla’s have. Of course Toyota didn’t set out to do a ‘cool’ car, but if you compare the impact Tesla has had compared to the Prius, I think Tesla wins?

• #24534
That’s a very good point. Isn’t this what the boring company is doing though? A vehicle on roads seems like a better idea than a vehicle in a tunnel though.
-
• #24535
Do you know what gaslighting means?
-
• #24536
i do, thanks.
-
• #24537
Excellent.

Meta.
-
• #24539
I know, it's almost like he's trying to undermine my grasp on reality by making me doubt my understanding of that word.
Wild.
-
• #24540
Haha citing the definition so everyone can see that you know what it means. Wild.
-
• #24541
You got a problem?
-
• #24542
Come on guys, this is exactly what Musk wants.
-
• #24543
Teslas r cool
-
• #24544
He's just confused as to why you keep using it as a phrase for people expressing a different opinion on a topic.
@kboy -
but if you compare the impact Tesla has had compared to the Prius, I think Tesla wins?
Is the ? because you're not sure? Tesla's use of AI, development of self driving cars, and investment in battery tech is impressive and probably has/will have a wider technological impact. But purely from an auto perspective, surely the Prius has made the greatest impact on widespread adoption of electric cars.

• #24545
No, no problem, I quite enjoy your posts actually.
Wot hugo said.

• #24546
well ok then.

Now kiss.

and i feel they're deliberately misrepresenting / ignoring the facts to create a false narrative.
hey ho.

• #24549
anyway.

Yeah, the ? is to highlight that I'm unsure. It's my take on it, but as we're on the internets and opinions always comes across with the elbow first I think a ? makes it a bit... gentler :)
As the Prius is a hybrid, can you really compare them straight up?
The Prius might very well have had more positive impact on the environment than the Tesla, but when it comes to pushing tech, like you say, and peoples positive perception of electric vehicles I think the Tesla has done more.
I highly doubt VW, BMW, Volvo, etc would've been so keen electric cars as they are today if it wasn't for Tesla.
Man, fuck Elon Musk!
