  • I thought I heard BBCR4 recently that U-Switch type web sites only feature the companies/tariffs that pay them hefty commissions.
There are apparently 'whole of market' comparison sites,
    where all tariffs are available.
Haven't looked myself as I am with the Big Deal that gives a commission to 38 Degrees.

  • Just switched to Tonik :)
    Nice one!

  • I purchased a beautiful Elm solid stick umbrella from James Smith in London on Friday while in the midst of jet lag fog. Left it on the street within the hour trying to navigate my way to lunch.

  • i once ordered a pair of custom columbus max forks from Rychtarski (c. £190) and went to fit them. I needed to cut them down a bit so assembled the front end, carefully marked the steerer with a scribe where I wanted to cut it. What I didn't realise was that the top headset cup also made a neat circular line when fitted. of course I cut at that line, not the one above, so ruined the forks by cutting the steerer too short before even using them.

toys promptly went out of pram

  • "Measure once, buy twice."

  • This thread is giving me anxiety!
But also reassures me that I'm correct in never trying to install things myself.

  • Put a wash in, came down, getting ready to go out. Where's all my cash? Fuck! It's in the pocket of the shorts I just put in. Saved it but now it looks like I work for a small time cartel.

  • Artisanal money laundering. Bang on trend.

  • The green peg is bugging me

  • Daily Mail / Nectar partnership going well so far...

  • Wow! The response to that is pretty epic.

  • Who carries a ton in cash around with them? Taps side of nose.

  • I would attribute that partially to the 'Stop Funding Hate' campaign. They scored a pretty big win with some companies like Lego, getting them to withdraw advertising from DM/Sun

  • Ha Ha ! "have you swiped your nectar card ? "
No - it was sent to me in the post.

  • This country is full of fuckin' moaning SJWs, their lives must be so frickin' boring that they've got nothin better to do than tweet about cutting up their nectar cards

  • Daily Mail is fucking terrible. I would not want to be tied into a scheme that supports it.

What aspects of Social Justice do you feel lend themselves to use as a pejorative phrase?

  • No, they have a social conscience and they want to be vocal and try to change the world around them. You may see it as just being people moaning and sending pointless tweets but pressure from social media can and has made actual physical world changes.
In my opinion they are actually using their lives to try and make a difference. Good on them.
Also, the DM is a horrid, vile, shit bag of a paper.

  • go on, call someone a "cuck", you know you want to

  • Would you rather life remained pretty shitty for 99% of humans?

  • I see you've taken a leaf out of the Nectar 'gauging public opinion' book :-)
