    What happened then?

    Website is Down!!
We apologise to all our customers but this website is currently down due to a large amount of traffic received from an adverse campaign by Twitter® users.

We are hoping to restore normal service as soon as possible.

We apologise also to all those cyclists and other website visitors who took offence at some light-hearted comments that were on this website. All these offending remarks have been removed.

  • It was an driving the UK advice page for people hiring a car out of heathrow with some copy, which was meant in jest, but was at best unhelpful and at worst pretty offensive.

  • Really?

  • Bloody Celts!

  • What am I not seeing?

  • squints do you even read, bro?

It's not the epicest of fails, but whoever made the poster is probably squirming a bit right now.

The fact that people find that poster offensive is more of a fail than the poster itself.

  • squints do you even read, bro?

The way people react to this kind of thing is unbelievable- no more posters of exploding buildings ever because some people find it offensive and it reminds them of the terrorist attacks on the 11th September?

In this case coming out of the building are HUMAN SIZED TURTLES...

  • terrorbunga!

Ah. My phone locked me onto their menu screen so I was scanning that for a fail. My bad.

Seen it now and the complainers can show themselves out. Does this mean we'll be displaying the same level of eggshell treading paranoia every time a movie poster comes out which evokes war atrocities, car crashes, or any kind of peril to which a proportion of the billions of planet dwellers may have been exposed?

  • terrorbunga!

    Ha!

  • never forget

  • The fact that people find that poster offensive is more of a fail than the poster itself.

I would agree if the release date wasn't... September the 11th

That's a little bit thoughtless if you ask me, not that I would ever get in a tis over something so daft.

  • Outrage after Ninja Turtles poster featuring exploding skyscraper evokes 9-11 attack

I don't understand, hardly any martial art-expert turtles were involved in the WTC attack.

  • That's what they want you to think....

The poster is for the Australian release.

  • The fail is that ad agencies are all about managing public perception, and that not one of the coked up goons in the agency thought 'exploding skyscraper / September 11 - someone could make something of this'.

Or maybe they did, and we're all just playing into their hands by talking about it. Wouldn't have known there was a TMNT movie otherwise, might go and see it now. Dammit, we've been played by coked up goons.

The position of the hyphen makes me think of the perma-randy Sister Wendy.

    Dibs Renoir!
