• its amazing after all this time people still don't have mallets.

  • Do you crazy kids mind if i join in the fun? I've only played polo once, badly, when the OCW crew came down to Clapham Common and we made the evening news....but would like to play a bit more.

  • Which reminds me. I'm going to have to make a new one soon. Mine is rather bent.

I beleive it's an all are welcome event.
You may also like to check out the South Polo and possibly even the west polo (once it's started) as they'll be a little closer to you.

  • i live right around the corner from this one in stoke newington.

(Sorry - I realise my previous post possibly implied that I live on Clapham Common - not true!)

  • In which case ignore my post and drag your ass along.

  • I have four mallets.
And this is definitely an open invite for anybody to come out and play.

  • I enjoyed my first two games of polo yesterday, I'm up for coming along but I might have to do the next one. This Tuesday doesn't look promising. I will also need to borrow a mallet.

  • its amazing after all this time people still don't have mallets.

Fuck me, that's a condescending post - I would have been proud to have posted that! :-)

  • I shall try to be there! more around 7.30 tho

  • Fuck me, that's a condescending post - I would have been proud to have posted that! :-)

What I do find strange though is that some people are still asking HOW to build mallets, and are planning to build wooden ones...

  • Fuck me, that's a condescending post - I would have been proud to have posted that! :-)

    :)

  • And that was from the new improved "nice" Aidan.
Imagine what he'd have said last year.

  • I preferred the unadulterated version. Then I don't feel so bad when I push him off...

    :-)

  • maybe i was a bit mean...when it comes to polo theres no place for being nice.that includes the building of mallets.
now get to it bill...you witnessed an engineering master piece yesterday.

  • i will bring a few mallets down.

dont suppose anyone picked up a hockey ball in brick lane yesterday? i left the white one there.
i may have a spare though

  • Yeah I'll come on Tuesday

  • FIIIIGggghhhHTtt if it's raining are we still on ?

  • dont suppose anyone picked up a hockey ball in brick lane yesterday? i left the white one there.

uh, the white one we were playing with was mine

  • If it's raining like it was on my way in to work this morning... No.

Guess we'll just have to see how it goes. The metoffice says no rain this evening...

  • Definitely can't make today. The wage slave in me is required to work.

  • if you're planning on going to JOL's court, I walked past it this morning with the dog, it holds a bit of water when it's been raining, I'll pop past again at lunch time, have a look, and see what it's like...

  • Shit, hadn't thought of that.
    FIngers crossed.

  • uh, the white one we were playing with was mine

Turns out Mary never took our one out of her bag, so ill let you off :P

  • I'll play in a flooded court, but not if its raining.
