Balsa Wood mallets are go!
-
• #29
I just think a swinging mallet in wood has more inertia than a alu/plastic one. In NYC they even drill holes in the mallet heads to make them lighter...

I made 3 wooden mallets on rainy Monday. Constructed from hardwood dowelling + heads are pine / drillium. avant-garde designs + rustic waxed finish.
If anyone wants to play polo in West London (tuesday?) then they are welcome to try them out!
EDIT - I spent too long trying to get some old ski=poles / graphite golf clubs.. ergo.. -

That's pretty much the standard for everywhere except London. We're always a bit behind the states anyways...

What's up with this? I know I spoke to you yesterday about mallets - but I can't remember the gist - is it happening this week? Tuesday?

Just desperate, I reckon. How do you charge for polo lessons, then, Aidan? Based on what I saw yesterday, you could be making a mint.

i'm in, this sounds good, but how much notice will we get on games? just a 'game tonight?' kinda thing?
