  • Cav being made "ambassador of the year" is pretty funny though, you must admit.

  • "Ambassador, with your foul language and v-signs you are spoiling us"

  • Did Cav's bird got to the ceremony? I'd have like to see an entire island cumming in their pants simultaneously!

    Not much competition.

    No invite for me.

  • Have you been blackballed?

  • Just not good enough.

  • Mark Cavendish MBE.

    La-dee-fucking-da!

  • "Sorry, I'm just taking a call from the Queen"

  • Antiquated nonsense.

  • what... telephones?

  • Hats off.

  • Everyone now reporting the Team Sky deal has been done

  • what... telephones?

    Nokias, yeah.

  • Everyone now reporting the Team Sky deal has been done

no way.... he's leaving his dream team?

  • Everyone now reporting the Team Sky deal has been done

Got a linky? I've not found a headline for that yet...

  • Ha! Just found that one.

    Cheers matey.

  • "The Wayne Rooney of our sport' according to Brailsford.

    That's gotta hurt...

  • Interesting he's leaving a team totally geared up for him to win and moving to one looking much more towards GC. At least Renshaw will get some wins now.

  • EBH has done some sweet lead out work for Sky recently, and in the last TdF EBH himself was lead out quite well (By amongst others Gerwaint Thomas?). So they have the bodies to do the work for him. Wether or not Sky will kill themselves to chase down the breakaway, to give Cav more shots at victory. Is another thing though.

I feel for EBH. Hes a great talent and Sky have shown that they're keen to back him. He has'nt quite had the success, that people thought he might, and now with Cav on the scene, chances will be fewer.

  • who will sky focus on, who has the bigger profile, the bigger chance of success?

Tour wise... Cav is more likely to be in green, than Wigins is to be in yellow... does wiggins have it to challenge Schleck and Contador this year? will he have it next year?

Or will they split the team, have some guys dedicated to Wiggins and keeping him in there, others devoted to Cavs lead out with some crossover of course. Different days will suit their cause differently of course...

I'm not highly informed on how teams are managed this is just me speculating.

  • I think that EBH has a tremendous knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. If there's a final hurdle to fall on then he'll fall. He's such an all rounder that he doesn't quite excel enough at any discipline to get the win, so he trundles frustratingly through the season looking like an eternal nearly man.

I think if he'd choose a goal and train specifically for it then he'd have more results, but until then he'll remain on the tips of the commentators tongues and in the top ten of every race result.

    We've been through this before.
If Cav is up there at the end he can win. The last 1KM leadout isn't as important as people seem to think. He has proved he can use other riders and/or force his way through and win regardless. If a race is set for Renshaw to be able to win, then it's set for all the other sprinters too, and who's the best? oh yeah, shorty.

The question is can Sky kill the breakaways whilst keeping a steady ship for the last 10-20k?

The Norwegian press has, after biging him up to feck*, already gone quiet and started spending more time and ink on the BMC boys.

Before the last TdF I was'nt really aware he was sprinter.

(* Up here the Sky team is considered to be half Norwegian, despite having more aussies. But then Aussies are good at getting the drinks [/hippy baiting])
