  • Seabass with frickin' lasers..

  • Couldn't they just look where they were going? 'Kin cyclists.

Watch the video.. Cav does look before he moves right across the other blokes line.

you mean, and do the french thing?

    ***No, after you.

    No, no, after you.

    I insist, after you.

No, but it is I that must insist, please, after you. ***

THIS should be the new sprint cycling! Manners is everything.

  • Sidsym....

  • ..not thinking properly...

    Cavendish can think?

  • Sidsym....

    Dyslexic Smidsy?

  • Dyslexic Smidsy?

the 'm' took a swerving line on that one...

  • .

  • He tried to block him, it went wrong, he didn't try to wipe himself and the others out. That just happened.

  • Cav's GPS data from the last 500m has just been provided by the team..

  • Bishop in a skirt.

  • Mouse riding an axe.

  • Wu Tang Clan ain't nothin to fuck with

  • Cav's GPS data from the last 500m has just been provided by the team..

    Ha-excellent!

Maybe someone showed Cav videos of 'The Tashkent Terror' aka Uzbek rider Djamolidine Abdoujaparov (possibly the coolest cycling nickname but definitely easier to say than his real name!)

  • I don't think Cavendish was at fault. It was a 50/50. Infact Haussler ran up his front wheel so was slightly behind. When sprinters are pushing that hard they take on a path like a fish so the front wheel inevitably goes wide for the next down thrust. It's just unfortunate they were both in sync at this point on the same piece of tarmac.

Exactly. Cav came into his side, trying to take out his line and force himself into a winning position. That = dangerous and against the rules.

  • Lots of 20mph riders talking bout 40 mph riding.

  • Unfortunate.

The world hates Cav right now, his anti-doping views and viscious tongue are probably not helping him make friends in the peloton.

20? Fuck me. You guys are out of my league.

  • Lots of 20mph riders talking bout 40 mph riding.

I don't know about you, but I can hit 10 mph, with a following wind, and heading down a steep hill. ;)

Can't hit 20 mph, not even on a good day.

  • Clearly Cav's fault, he tried to switch Haussler to put him off and over did it. Bit of a dick move from a desparate rider lacking form, and as I'm a 45mph rider am I allowed to comment....

  • I'm waiting for the battery to charge for the hidden motor in my down tube before I try and break the 20 barrier....

I can see Cav's point-Hausler's wheel looks to slip out right at the same point as his goes left and then they touch-1cm difference and disaster could've been averted.

I've been in a few 35-40mph finishes, and no one likes it when a rider changes their line like that. It's not that hard to keep a straightish line, even when muscling a big gear out of the saddle.

Cav doesn't habitually sprint in Abduspazz mode, so it was calculated, but probably poor judgement of Haussler's speed relative to his, or he started to fade a little early. Haussler maybe found a little kick in the split second before Cav swung into his line of sight, but like people have said, he was riding in a straight line and fully committed, so I wouldn't blame him at all.

I had a huge argument with someone at Eastway because my front tyre drove their (carbon Campag Record) rear mech into their spokes - they were fading like a motherfucker, and practically did a 45 degree turn in front of me when I was already butted up against the right hand verge. You're ready for a little madness, but never the dreaded Abduspazz.

    Abduspazz.

^ Agree. 9 times out of 10 that would not have been a crash.

I can hit 20 after a transfusion of Turbo Shandy.
