longtime lurker first time poster :)
repainted, refurbished giant peloton for every day use while carrying my daughter :) (she's alllmost 2) fresh paint (Same color as before) new decals (really didnt like the previous yellow accents) and a ton of parts i had lying around / and or bought to complete - most notably - Mavic Classics Pro CD wheels, Selle MAX saddle, Maxxis Wormdrive CX Rubber, FSA/ProWheel crank rawwr :)
- big love and thanks to one of the local talented shops that not only helped putting it together but refurb it ...
Don't have a cx build so when winter hits will probably switch back to drop bars for now i need the more vertical position to carry her confortably (strapped on) and hit the powder by myself but so far the little one loves it and thats what counts :)
p.s. coulda've been fixed or at least ssp i dont remember the last time i used the shifter :))

Dead columbus dove? QC rejected tubing?
^^ Serious head-turner. You must be happy?

What's the real question?
You have 19mm rims and you want to know if they fit? They will.

wouldnt risc rejected QC :)) but had no info on the frame just that it was CrMo got inspired by the italian (i think) with Reynolds 666 (http://imgur.com/DZeSq30) and since i've redone the stickers / decals thought it would e a funny hint :( sadly its not columbus

How much did it end at?
-
• #97434
£139. I bid £150, didn't expect to win it at all. Just trying to work out what to do with it. I have a 753 Pennine which I love, but what with having a baby now, all of my riding is either track training or commuting.
I may build this up as a crit racer for when the velodrome closes and I start riding on the closed circuit here instead. -

I'm intriuged... What's doing it 'well'?

Real question is, would they fit a 29er rim say XM319's or Kinlin XD279?
-
• #97437
Is it a 58?
-
• #97438
57 top tube, 58 seat tube apparently. Should be fine for the sort of riding I want to do. Pennine is 55 top tube and 59 seat tube and is nice over longer distances.
I've been after a normal diameter 853 for a while, so was pretty happy to get this. It's arriving on Friday then I'll do my own measurements and see if it fits. Are you interested if not?

That thing on the front is left over from harvest? Or is it late where you are?

Seen this in Ratrace a few times recently and been waiting to see it get built : )

It's pretty much the only bike shop I'll use. Pete is a master of his craft. You local?
-
• #97446
Yup, Telegraph hill.
+1 for Ratrace / Pete being amazing.Went in for some new brake pads and trouser clips the other day and he just gave it all to me for free because I'm a regular. He built my road bike, made some wheels, let me search his bolt jar for weird derailleur parts, etc etc. Fucking love that place.

He built our bikes for LEJOG and they didn't skip a beat and he's done lots of gratis stuff for my girlfriend who is DP patched. Top people that's for sure.

Finally got the Cannondale CAAD8 R900 done. I believe this was originally SirBikeAlots then I bought it off JB and now here it is!
SRAM apex (works wonderfully well)
Mix of parts I had and some shit shimano r501 wheels. They will be replaced soon.
It will also be wearing some SKS raceblades - PDW wouldn't fit.Anyway, rides very well and I'm extremely happy.
Edit, may need to still adjust cable housing lengths etc. SRAM says 36cm for the RD housing... looks long. I'm sure on my other RIVAL setup it was shorter than that.
