Go round on your road bike. Look down, choose a gear slightly higher for your fixed.

I'm looking for new platform pedals. They have to be wide and not too heavy.
Does anyone have advise? I'm currently thinking about these: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/Nuke-Proof-Neutron-Flat-BMX-MTB-Mountain-Bike-Cycle-Pedals-CNC-Pair-Black-/390886110091?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item5b02a0b38bhttp://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]![](http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER])http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=390886110091&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]![](http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]) -

Flat-faced pedals will be lighter but you'll need longer (more shoe/shin damaging) pins than a concave pedal like the DMR V8/V12.

Nuke Proof Electron would be better.

Whip skidz all the way round teh corkscrew?
Leg over the bar ;)
Just kidding, I prefer to do it clockwise anyway.

Restraps and a new ratio of 49/19 for the beater.
So much fun around town!
Was originally a little disheartened that the frame didn't have a tighter geometry but it's grown on me, makes for super easy smooth whipskids

• #95535
Frame looks plenty tight, nothing like having dirt get caught between your down tube and front wheel to shake you up a bit...
-
• #95536
Definitely, look real sensible, after all, tighter does not equal aeroer.

Probably will be less tight with forks that aren't bent
-
• #95539
Agree that the fork looks bent.

Frame, wheels, cranks look pretty original, everything else seems to have been swapped out for shitty plasticy bits.
i will be changing the stem, bars, brakes, pedals, saddle and maybe a set of orange wildgrippers.http://dl.dropbox.com/s/jyj8pgvb2r8z6vd/20140715_183411.jpg

The ideal RP gears are variable

Yeah too right mate.

Nuke Proof Electron would be better.
Why?

can someone suggest a good mini-V brake? ideally black
thanks -

shimano r353

Not that many to choose from are there.
Tektro 926AL, TRP 8.4/9 if you got the cash, but not really worth the extra.
-
• #95546
Why?
Cheaper and just as good, I used them on my MTB, they're lighter too (100g).
-
• #95547
^^ ^^^ i reckon i'll go for the tektro ones. thanks :)
-
• #95548
tektro are 80mm arm length and shimano are 90mm in case you need a bit more clearance for guards.
-
• #95549
I'd take the Shimano BR-R353 over Tektro 926AL, nicer design and only a few quid more.

I went for Tektro 926AL originally, and although it worked at first, after a while it was squealing hideously and nothing I or real bike mechanics did fixed it. Eventually there was a weird noise and the spring tension bolt stripped itself and shot out. Changed to Shimano R463, which seem better made and so far problem-free. Although the other Tektro on the back is fine still.
