I'm conflicted about this.
Peel off the decals? Sell to pedals for buy flooring? Get a cat?

To be fair I've only put those wheels in in order to create a functioning road bike, they're not meant to stay on the Serotta beyond the point at which I find the motivation to glue a new rear tyre on the Nemesis wheelset.
The Flo30's do look all kinds of wrong on there.

The pave wheelset looked all kinds of right. Have they been a pita or is the jury still out?
-

They are great wheels, I've just been very lazy- the replacement tub has been stretching for easily two months now.
-

It would take five minutes effort to glue the tyre on. Hangs head etc
-
• #94382
Don't start gluing in the middle of the night before a ride ;-)

I once cheekily rode on a tub that had only been glued on for about 12 hours- on the back of the glue it said wait 72 hours. Tub lasted for quite a while aswell before I got a flat. I'm a massive rebel.

Yeah the golden rule - 10 bar on the rear, have no fear - but on the front, your head will take a punt.

Where does the CSI fit into your stable? Annual trip to roubaix?
Too nice to get rid of though surely?

It was the "oh fuck, I don't have a road bike" semi-emergency purchase of late last year.
Now that the Time Machine is out of action (having donated parts to Dalsnibba) and Dalsnibba is still in Norway, it's back in the limelight.
However, you make a good point- it's not really got a role, now that the other bikes have arrived.
That said, it's a great bike, rare and getting rarer- and of course these can no longer be repaired now that the factory has closed.
All my other bikes have power, the Serotta doesn't- which means that the kind of long fast rides that it is best suited to tend to put a big blank hole in my (first world problem nerdy tracking graph) PMC.
This could of course be fixed by swapping a Powertap into the rear wheel (for power, cheap) or Vectors in place of the Zero's (spendy).
I might consider a long term loan to someone who'd use and appreciate it, once the Time Machine is back in action and I have Dalsnibba again (that's going out to Road.cc for ~4 weeks once the paint is done, however).

It's my favourite dammitbeik... with the tubs.
It is possible to cycle sometimes without all the data. This morning I was riding/chatting to a (very good) ironman triathlete out on a cafe ride. He's done 21 hrs this week and was happy to be away from all the tech for a couple of hours.

Reckon the Serotta looks awesome, but have always been a big fan of their frames.
I don't use a power meter, so can I has?! :D
In seriousness, can the rim decals be removed, where did you find them, and what's they like?

True, but it's one of the parts of cycling that I quite enjoy - once the ride is over, you've had a shower, got some food etc, looking over the figures and comparing them to last year/last time you rode that route etc.
As I said, it's a first world problem, no doubt.

Well aside from the few issues with building my CF SLX, I did a mini service/spring clean to my mates Cannondale CAAD5 R500 (2006) as I needed a bike with a brake for tomorrow BHF ride to Brighton mainly because it was a good opportunity to get use to riding with gears and brakes with a group of people but more importantly I didn't want to test a new bike on such a huge event and having the possibility someone crashing into me.
