  • headset is all cleaned, refitted and feels alright, no creak yet but may happen again after i ride it a bit, hopefully its sorted!

  • problem: cracked fork crown
    solution: clean headset

  • No, the problem was a creak, i cleaned the fork in the process and saw the cracks....

  • lines dont look good. ride it with a different fork on and see if the noise persists?

May have to but i don't have one and can't afford one, yet

  • It's arrived

  • Weapon.

  • (The frame, not you.)

  • It's arrived

    dannnnnng

  • Great! Sumo

  • Easy decision - King Cage titanium.

    Yup this.

But if the hefty price tag puts you off then the Stainless ones are still great and can be had at Kinoko.

    Looks very nice btw

I actually think the thinner tubes of the stainless ones look nicer (and I love mine, way better than the floppy stainless Elite Ciussi Inox ones et al), but I'd probably feel obliged to use the titanium ones on a titanium frame.

  • It's my birthday in June.. might ask for the ti king cages then. A quick google convinces me they're the best looking ti ones. I could use the stainless ones but ^^ this.

  • Oh caz you soon be a weight weenies roadie soon

Yeah I agree but in the meantime I'd grab a stainless one :)

  • It's fair to say it'll be much more cost effective for me to lose weight rather than the bike.. #naturallygifteddescender.

I'll pop in to Kinoko this week, ta for heads-up Tenderloin.

  • It's arrived

Sumo you think it will be ready for this sunday?

  • of course he will

  • But it would increase the stack.

It would, but it doesn't look like it's huge on that frame anyway. I would understand wanting to have your hands lower if the headtube was longer but ..

Given the saddle angle, it definitely looks like some fit adjustments have been made to adjust to the lower position, would probably improve weight distribution to bring the bars up a little and level things out a little.

  • I have to say, I had a few chances to buy Forza's at decent prices but just really dislike the way the way they look when build up. Track bike geo should only slope one way IMO :)

Also Henry - I would have pegged you for a black on black version? ;)

I've seen a few got on ebay over the last 6 months for about what I paid for this one. It's not every day you get to own/ride the same frame that many world records have been set on.
I would have got black on black if there was a choice, a respray may happen at some point.

  • So Ho. When are you gonna join the HH carbon revolution? Don't want to get anymore cracks in that Canyon do you?

If the geo chart is right then it's a low front end and long(ish).

I've no idea how you can tell (via the internet) where the rider wants his hoods.
