  • Dinner round your gaff must be a hoot.

It is. The other day, I was explaining to my 4 year old niece how the jelly she was tucking in to was a matrix of protein holding a lot of water in a roughly solid form, to which she added "And it's yummy".

I have a friend who's an artist, and he sometimes takes a view which I don't agree with. He'll hold up a flower and say, "Look how beautiful it is," and I'll agree. But then he'll say, "I, as an artist, can see how beautiful a flower is. But you, as a scientist, take it all apart and it becomes dull." I think he's kind of nutty. ... There are all kinds of interesting questions that come from a knowledge of science, which only adds to the excitement and mystery and awe of a flower. It only adds. I don't understand how it subtracts.

So I can enjoy the deliciousness of the Belgian bun and simultaneously revel in the paradox that it has nothing to do with Belgium, which might also lead to consideration of the similar demonymic misattributions applied to various pastries, or even the slightly odd pair "French Letter" & "Capote Anglais"

  • We have a Michael Scofield.

  • Thanks tester I went for the 8 speed cassette since the shifters don't have indexing. I thought the 7 speed derailleur wouldn't be able to reach all the gears but that wouldn't be a problem I read.

  • ^ I confirm that http://www.ctc.org.uk/cyclists-library/components/transmission-gears/derailleur-gears/shimergo

7s shifters on my not porn Cîocc 8s Shamal and It works for all the 8 speeds

  • I put together Scoot's new road bike a couple days ago and we went for a little test ride today. It's a NOS Sab Team Naturino frame from Planet X with Sram Rival, Shimano RS11 wheels, Deda bars and stem, conti 4 season tyres. I'll attach the other bottle cage when I find it and chop the steerer too.

  • Also, my Vigorelli came back from Armourtex.

  • Nice one Sumo

  • Vig is totally on Point.

  • where is the best price for 2014 mash histogram?
A friend wants one, where they are in stock?

  • How much was the Vig paintjob?

That looks really good. They seem like nice frames.

  • That looks really good. They seem like nice frames.

Great price point too for F+F. Does anyone know anything about SAB?

  • Check this out.

The photos of the carnage in the SAB factory are amazing, and I've just seen that scoot's frame features pretty heavily in the blog as an example of some of the stuff they dug out. It's a great build, scumo.

Some of the frames P-X are still listing are nice too.

  • Vig looks ace Sumo, well done.

  • How much was the Vig paintjob?

    This. If you don't mind.

  • It's £77 for a single colour on an aluminium frame. Add a second colour and the price doubles as they then have to deal with masking it etc. Forks are £60 for a single colour. I ended up paying £300 for the Vigorelli f+f plus the cranks and a second set of forks being done black.

Raltec wheel covers on an Ellipse.

  • In other upsidedown projects, the resurrection of the 29gnar is underway. Just need to swap the rim on the rear wheel.

  • That Raltech is awesome, how easy is it to take on and off?
