  • couldn't resist building it up. Now if only the snow would melt..

    sweet!

  • After two years commuting on a Gazelle conversion, I finally bought a 'real' track frame:

I know I probably should have gone for one size smaller but I got it for cheapz..

    • Colnago Street carbon road fork
    • Mavic Open Pro CD to Miche hubs

Now looking for some new tyres. Can't decide between Vittoria Rubino Pro 28c (they measure as 26c I've heard) or Conti GP 25c.

  • have you considered a bike fit?

  • Well, I've used some online bike fit calculators and they say the ideal size is 51 c-c seattube and a 52 c-c top tube. The Gazelle was 52 c-t ST and 53 c-t TT and that rode really good.

This is also a 53 TT, so I thought it would be okay. ST is now 56 c-t and 52 c-c. Stand-over height is now 3cm higher than my inseam...

    better sell it then.

  • dibs forks

  • Ouch. Bye bye testicles!

  • Pendle got risers and another stem.

  • I should probably just start a thread.

  • admit it, you lowered the saddle by 1 scoblebrick on the brooklyn for the pic.

  • I lowered it by 1/2 when I put the straps on because I find my feet sit much further in and I prefer to have it a bit lower for the commute.

I've yet to ride it properly since putting the straps on though so it may well be a bit too low.

    Simples... TrackStand everywhere

Current setup with chop 'n flops out for a Slide before it freezes over... than it's time for sumthin with fatty tires and risers

  • How long is that stem on the Brooklyn? 120mm?!

  • Yup 120mm, I really wanted a 130mm at first but there wasn't one in stock. I'm pretty happy with this one now though.

130mm on the pendle with same TT length.

  • That Pendle.........perfection.

  • Pendle needs either silver TB14s on low flange silver Phils, or 38mm carbon on American Classics/Macks... Then we can talk.

  • Prefer it with bulls, but my god is it nice.

Where did you get the frame indra? I'd dib but it's too big :'((

  • Would love to see a rear view photo of Pendle to see them seatstays.

    And gumwalls

    Cheers

Maybe 38mm crabon, don't want the other two really.

Edit: Eventually it might but I need to start overhauling the brooklyn for spring/summer and building up the orlowksi's wheelset plus sorting out new cranks for that. Once those two are done I can think about getting a nicer or more sensible wheel set on this but all my money will be taken up by that and my other hobbies for a fair while. I've spent too much on bike lately.

I got it from Eingang's friend, bulls were fun but they belong on the orlowski. This is going to be used on track so will need drops pretty soon.

  • Is there any options for one inch forks that would take atleast 35mm tire and would take abuse?
    Other then oldschool MTB 1inch.

  • Not really that I know of but some old steel mtg forks would probably be perfect. ^^

If you wanted to use a brake you'd probably need new mount brazed on though.

  • ^^Ewww...

  • Looks like so much fun.
