  • Some minor adjustments such as black tape, sonderklasse tubs and look/time pedals are still to be bought and done.

    Got some carbon risers to replace the crashed Nittos. Really comfy, think I might prefer them to the Nittos.

  • The wider bit should be toward the centre of the bar as it is normally where the flange would be, but it really makes no difference

  • Pretty sure they're on right, the end caps fit into the bigger ends of the grips...

    (mine had flanges, which I cut off, these would've been on the inside)

  • Exactly what TM said, those end bits are on the flanged grips too, the flangeless simply have removed flanges at the opposite end.

  • Although Ols might be getting confused because some people like to cut the flanges off then flip the grips to create a sorta of mini flange

  • for me you can move the bars up and brake levers a little more up
    what's the stem ?

  • 3ttt stem etched with ernesto's signature, clover etched 3ttt bars,was playing with bar angle, this gets me nice and low over wheel with hoods like so, and lever bottoms line up with bar drop horizontal

  • So I'm in the preliminary stages of ordering a custom titanium Burls road frame. I'm thinking all black components: Ultegra groupset, Thompson seat post and stem, not sure about saddle and bars yet. For the time being I'll probably order v-sprint wheels and look to upgrade later. I'm sure I will be back to pick your brains, doubt i'll start a whole CP thread.

    It really depends, I won't weigh in because I know fuck all about road bikes but I'd probably go of them if I were obeying a modern road bike.

  • I'll do more reading before deciding. My main feeling is why not take it to 11 if I can. I know eff all about disc brakes so will do more research.

  • 11 speed Ultegra, caliper brakes unless you're building an all weather/multi purpose bike. reckon I'd rather have calipers on a nice road bike.

    Discs are overkill, and until in a few years time when hydro is properly tried, tested and integrated, no point.
