Don't think so. Comparing the prices on both website's, Mack's are £50 cheaper...
yeah but arent they cheaper?
-
• #88204
hmm, they were at one stage I thought. Oh well, nevermind then

I'm after a decent looking black 26.8mm seatpost with little to no layback. Any suggestions?
-
• #88206
Thomson, or cheap Thomsonalike from CRC....
Not for the donohue is it?
-

Carbon flite and above 100kg dude on it, will it disintegrate?

^^Carbon, as in carbon rails? Or carbon as in carbon saddle body? If it's the former I wouldn't risk it. The later should be fine.
But this new bike is more for bombing/cruising round town so I would like a different saddle. And I don't think it suits this build much.
Humm been advised to give a flite ago aswel but I'm not sure. ....... Maybe a black San Margo condor. (I duno)First go to a bike store that has one of those arse measuring things (Evans always have the Specialized ones). Then work from there. I always find Turbos a nice balance if you're likely to be in a more upright position. But at the end of the day saddles (including width) are personal.

No, the KHS. I have absolutely no reason to need a new seatpost for it except that the one Tim sold it with is reeeaaaaalllly ugly, ha ha.

• #88213
It is so ugly! I complained to him many a time! So damn ugly....
These are decent in the flesh.

Is it definitely 26.8?
-
• #88214
I just ordered one of them. I'm pretty sure it's 26.8, at least that's what my calipers say the one Tim was using is.
-
• #88215
Pretty sure it's 27.2 that raceface one, worth checking with your thomson?
-
• #88216
Those brand x ones are excellent value, super long though you can easily lop quite a lot off the length
-
• #88217
I just tried a 27.2 post and it wouldn't fit so hopefully I've ordered the right thing!
-
• #88218
Yeah I'll definitely be chopping it down a fair bit, any excuse to crack the saw out and feel like a tough guy.
-
• #88219
Any idea what bars these are?
-
• #88220
TM needs them cranks for his Corima.

They're chopped and flipped drops. They have to be cut by a samurai to keep the NJS stamp. $50.
-
• #88223
Thought so, Are there any Samurai's available in the UK?
-
• #88224
Plural of samurai is samurai right?
-
• #88225
well it certainly isn't "Samurai's". Samurais at best.
yeah but arent they cheaper?
