Was just looking at that... Like it a lot. Also the Krampus looks interesting but not a proper fattie.

^^ are you suggesting him to use the 26" fork instead of the 700c?
I am a bit unsure if he is looking for a short roadbike-like fork (376mm) or a cross fork (390mm) (I cant find the original question/thread/bike).
So if the answer is a roadbike-like disc fork, this one (surly disc trucker 26" fork) exists and is an option.
Sorry for the confusion.

I have a (nice) dilemma: What do I do with this frameset?
http://i956.photobucket.com/albums/ae43/yetidamo/Mobile%20Uploads/photo_zpsff19df4a.jpg
A recent Serotta "current project" has made realise I want to build this back up into a working bike. I had stripped it of it's groupset for a CX project and had half heartedly tried to sell it on here (didn't really want to, so it's been boxed up and stored in the bedroom since). But enough time has passed for my wife to have forgotten that I'd said I was selling it to pay for the CX project so I reckon I can get away with building it up again :-)
Merlin have a great deal on Force 22 complete groups at the moment which I reckon would compliment the frameset nicely, but that would mean a freehub upgrade to any of the wheels I could use for this to 11 speed. The ones in the picture are from my 10 speed TT bike, so would then be difficult to swap wheels between the 2 bikes too.
Or I hunt down some second hand bargain Campag 10 speed components and use some Record/Open Pro wheels I have "spare".
Opinions?... Thanks.
Well I went for the cheap winter build option in the end. Budget Serotta a bit of a contradiction but sod it, I'd rather be using it.

Didn't look like this any more after 2.5 hours of riding through the floods and gritty lanes round Kent.

Mavic ellipse owners
Don't believe what everyone who hasn't had pair of ellipses says about bearing/axle removal as I ruined my axle trying that. Here is more information:

Basically adjustment nuts are squashed and you can't remove bearing adjusment nut, see picture:

There are 2 versions of the disc trucker fork:
26" disc trucker fork Axle-to-crown: 376mm Rake: 45mm
700c disc trucker fork Axle-to-crown: 390mm Rake: 45mmhttp://surlybikes.com/parts/forks/disc_trucker_fork
ignore the name, the 26" works fine with 700c wheels and has a clerance of about 355mm (x 60mm wide at the top) so there is room for 35mm tires. The main drawback is it is pretty heavy: about 1.1 kg.
what about all-city macho man forks? 395 a2c iirc
