  • Match the wheels, sort saddle + bar angle and ditch that manky mudguard and you have one super lush bike there mate!! A nice Turbo/ chopped Brooks would look great on their too!! Beautiful!

    ^^What's with the seat angle?

ok... the saddle was a replacement for the old crappy one that was on it and i havent sorted the angle etc yet! haha it needs to roll back on the rails too. the bars aren't tightened yet as i am mid polishing them, the mud guard was just to save my jumper from the rain today! haha so yeah it will come off, its from my old XC bike!

i would love a brooks saddle, my dad used to have one on this bike but when he left home it got thrown out! NOT GOOD! haha

but yeah, when i can afford one i will be putting one on.

    thanks for the comments.

    Ben

  • Beautiful frame though man, great colour!

  • thanks mate, its been my dads bike for years and years so loads of sentimental value! the colour is so nice in the light too, really bright!

  • ben g, are you selling the front wheel?

  • so i started on the Falcon again today! i have had no money of recent, and so couldnt buy anything for it. my girlfriend decided that she wanted to buy me a present and so i picked up a lovely wheel...

i also stripped off the 30 year old grip tape from the bars! Gave me a bit of trouble but more than happy with how they are now!

just on the look out for a matching front wheel now. got a few im watching on the bay so fingers crossed! :)

I'll be selling both mine end of June if you can wait. They are Black Surly hubs, gun metal Velocity rims with black spokes (check my album). So the same style as yours but with black spokes.

  • ben g, are you selling the front wheel?

it depends, i dont think i will be selling any time soon, but i will let you know!

i may be interested when the time comes! :) how much will you be selling them for?

  • Not too sure yet. Maybe £120. I'll give you a shout when the time comes if you are still looking.

  • yeah give me a shout anyway as i may have the money to take them for a new build! :P

  • New track bike

Need to take the saddle and cranks of my other bike.

  • Giz thats lovely!.. got room to adjust the bars as well eh.??

Thanks! Hoping to get it finished for the 3rd omnium next week.

The forks come uncut, need to chop them down.

  • For your safety - You need to add a couple of chain links...Unless I'm missing something.

    poser..

  • glad to see your keeping those tyres warm, Jizz. :p

If they where the 40cm, I would have said yes, 38's to narrow for me.

  • you should get some of those wheel covers for hippy.

  • No great shakes compared to some stuff in here, but finally got my wheels built up - On One hubs on Open Pros, DT Swiss blah blah spokes. Wanted to build them myself on a wheelbuilding course, but just not got the time to go do it, and I'm unlikely to be building any more wheels for a few years at least.

I could ride 'em.. they'd last longer than Conti tyres.. :)

  • now that is a sweet lo pro nice one bublan
    beautifully proportioned bare metal

    NICE

  • Just seen these:

skully, looks nice. but what did i help with the build?

You sold me an Airlite front ages ago, running nicely now with an oil/grease mix.

Skully, your bike is fucking awesome, must've been a rear pleasure to ride!

To you and the other Gentleman's Path lovers (eyebrows, dooks) Thanks for your praises!

I like this bike a lot tobyprice! Chrome ends?

If you're at home this coming weekend, fancy riding with the Suffolk CTC geeks fixed with me? Ends quite near you (stonham barns near stowmarket) , starts in
    Ipswich though, 9.30 sunday am.

beautiful skully... annoying that you have to take the mudguards off to take the wheel out though?

No, what's annoying is that I've never even considered it until this point. Heh.

[re: Jaygee's Roberts] Pictures do not do it justice. That bike is gooooooorgeous!!!

+1 Jaygee has been a very sensible lad. He's ridden his steamroller a lot for ages. Everywhere. Road. Track. (Half Pipe?!) Thought about what works and what doesn't. Ridden some more. Then saved up and asked someone excellent to build him a frame, just for him. No eBay, no wheeling and dealing. A lesson to us all.

btw Guy of Gizmond is that bike of yours for tricks or just riding to the pub? ;)
