  • hubjub?

  • For crown races, I've only ever had to whack them onto 1" steerers, for which I use a 31.6 seatpost.

  • More tiny updates on the Langsett, still no pics, mostly just to frustrate Scoble.

Freewheel is off, all hub threads are perfect. Hub is stripped down and polished. Axles/cones are soaking in degreaser ready for reassembly. Just need to de-rust and polish the rear rim and the wheels are pretty much ready to go. Have discovered while cleaning that the rims are 'Dunlop Special Lightweights'. Also noticed there is no 'hook' to the rim so no high pressures here..

Have discovered cillit bang works wonders cleaning up gumwalls.

Headset is back together, seatpost is back in.

Have given up looking for my chaintool so got a new one on it's way. Once it arrives I can get the mech off and sorted then I'm on the home straight..

  • You fucker...

  • T-Rex ahoy. But I don't care. Super fun to ride

  • Have you considered stretching?

or a different pair of bulls?

  • Can anyone suggest some cheap oversized bullhorns? The only thing I keep coming across are profile airwings, that can't be the only option, can it?

  • Oh man that stem... What about bringing the seat forward?

  • Good work young Jed Eye. I have started a cult.

I am currently experimenting with stem length.

I expect T to the P 8 8 (WTF) and T to the M to sign up soon.

    Turn to the dished side.

  • I'm assuming the stem is that short because you're actually using the bullhorns. If you get ones with less drop then you can have a longer stem
    E.g. Nitto Rb 01

As Tp88 said, your saddle looks pretty far back too.

Not cheap but Nitto do SSB (Oversize versions) of their bullhorns. I have the RB021SSB version, but they aren't cheap.

Deda Crononero have three different styles of drop and are all oversized too. Should be the same price as Profile.

  • 100mm stem and RB010s for me...

  • I did run it with 110 stem off my MTB for a while and could ride 20miles kinda comfy just the palms of my hands would ache like a bruised feeling. Will move try moving saddle forward at some point today looks like a good call

  • 80mm perhaps?

    /LFGSSbiekfitz

  • Compacts maybe..?

  • I get same thing on longer rides which is why I started looking at extensions. Now both my palms and forearms hurt equally. Might get a cilice next.

    /HTFU

  • Nearly finished with the tango road bike (Principia RSL). Just need to wait for the correct crown race and bearing cap to arrive, buy a saddle that doesn't soak up water and get hold of a black 105 front mech that fits a 31.8mm seat tube.
Going to be so nice to ride a road bike that fits, been on a fucking huge compact alu/carbon ribble for far too long.

  • you can keep a longer stem without suffering from too much reach when riding on the extensions with reversed shallow mud drops... can probably find them inexpensively second hand too

el toro bars have a nice bend at the end of the extension for good stretch as well...

  • I can't even...

  • Everyday bike is finally feeling more or less perfect with a 90mm stem.

  • SKRTLUV

    obvious troll.

  • just tryna help.

  • silence and not posting you bikes again and again would be the greatest help

  • just tynan

    ?

  • Haha love skrtluv's suggestion but couldn't bring myself to ride like that. Yes can see what you mean about htfu because if I can ride 20miles before it hurts I might aswell get one with it but it's just the fact it doesn't hurt at all when it's like this. Humm well have moved saddle forward and will test it later
