System71etc, post that Gios on the Gios appreciation thread on bikes & bits, please! If you give the frame number there's a nice German who will almost certainly date it and tell you which exact model it is. Nothing wrong with Jagwire, I use it on all my bikes, ancient and modern. I hate criticising other peoples bikes, but have to agree that any straight silver seatpost would look better (sorry).

Found some DuraAce AX brakes, for cheap because a part of them was missing. Despite their bad reputation, I was very keen on having / using them.
Made the missing part on saturday, installed the brakes on sunday. I have to agree with what's been said before, their braking power isn't amazing... Should improve with new pads, these are very dry, although hardly used. I will keep them for now, they are not bad to the point they would be unsafe to use I think, and they look great on the Roberts... -

This weekend's efforts:
Spare MTB using Cycliste's cast-off Rose frame, a splattering of Deore, some Easton EA30 parts and some bits from the parts bin. It looks a bit weird at the moment, because the handlebar's set for me, and the saddle's set for Cycliste. Not porn, probably anti, but it'll do the job.
And I made a start on Cycliste's new road bike. BMC SL01 2012 frameset, Toupe Pro saddle, Ritchey stem, and it'll have a full 6770 Ultegra Di2 groupset on it. Wheels TBC.

Yep, they're the door handles on the Bicycle Palace. Which will also appear in this thread, once I finally get round to finishing it.

Presumably you could alter the braking characteristics by making cams with different profiles. Do you reckon you could improve their stopping power a bit by tinkering with that?

Would like to get some Langsett decals, will need to contact lloyds or Langsett, who are still in business.
Let me know if you don't get any luck with transfers. I know someone who has a few sets of originals.

Just wait 'til it's got all the nice dark grey Di2 kit on it.
Mind you, at the moment it looks like the battery will have to be external, which is a shame, as there's no easy way to get from the seat tube/seatpost down to the underside of the bottom bracket.

Surely have to be constantly wearing a skinsuit and casco helmet to look right on that.

Can't wait to race you next season!
Pics a few pages back bro!
Can't find charger for camera. Will shut my mouth now until there's real progress and can take some half decent pics.
Wheels are 27 1/4 so not that unusual. Know rims are cheap enough but trying to get this build in super cheap so can't afford a wheel build at the moment..
