  • Then I guess you need 114mm to account for the inner ring spacing.

  • ok thanks
i'll see whats 114mm in the shed and give it an approximate fitting before buying something permanent

  • Needs to be ISO though.

  • What was the consensus on Campag fit brake pads that don't thrash anodized braking surfaces (Mavic Open Pro)?

  • Why don't you go for full Santé? The brakes and shifters are tacky and 80's..

  • Nice.

  • Can't find chain tool. Grr.
Rear wheel out, squirt of oil in the freewheel and it spins like a champ. Will get it off anyway so I can polish hubs/repack bearings.
Rear gaurd polished. They're Blumels 'Club Specials' - nice and skinny with much nicer plastic than on sks's..
Rear brake off, just need to find new straddle wires for it and clean it up ready for new blocks and washers which are on their way.
Rear rack cleaned up, rust is gone, haven't gone mad polishing as I like the patina.
Cotter pins are soaked in oil, will show them the hammer tomorrow morning and get the cranks/bb out.

Just need to find chain tool so I can get the mech off, hopefully the jockey wheels can be saved.

  • Swissstop GHP like the ones I sold you. There was some discussion on here but can't find the thread.

Still think it's a shame (#puppykilling) but to each his own AND very well executed! Also props on the DIY paintjob.

I need a DA 7600-hp btw, anyone got one laying around :)

  • sick paint job

  • So my first proper track frame arrived today! Size not quite as expected, poor show from the seller, but will hopefully still fit. Chipped all over, as explained. Brakeless/drivetrainless installed for preliminary shots, will be using more compact bars and will sort out saddle angle as and when. Ridiculous clearances when slammed. Love it.

Also, for anyone interested in pro-cycling, the frame used to belong to current Movistar and ex-Team Sky rider, British Time Trial Champion, Alex Dowsett.

  • taking the Plum back to it's track heritage - new wheels arrived today... just need a few more bits and we're done :)
