  • Style has it's price

  • Yes, and it's 3 times the price of RS80-C50s at the moment.

Mind you, once he bought a Pinarello, the good taste and sensible value ships had sailed.

  • How exactly SL is better than SLR and what makes you think, that I paid full price for the wheelset?

    Tester are you stalking me?

  • How exactly SL is better than SLR?

SL (or SLS, as they now call the base model) has steel spokes, the correct material for them.

    Tester are you stalking me?

That would be tricky as I neither know nor care who you are. You posted your bike on an internet forum, I commented on it. Since presumably you neither know nor care who I am, why does that bother you?

  • It doesn't bother me in the slightest. You're good with your assumptions.

Mind you, once he bought a Pinarello, the good taste and sensible value ships had sailed.

That is said, as if you knew my taste before and after.

Not that I really care about your opinion, just your self-righteousness and ignorance irritates me.

  • That is said, as if you knew my taste before and after

Are you writing in a language you don't understand well? Perhaps the idiom is unfamiliar to you, but the comment specifically means that I knew nothing about your taste until you revealed it by showing that you own a Pinarello, after which I made one conclusion, which is that your taste differs from mine. If you need to be that defensive about it, maybe you should just sell the bike and get something about which you feel more confident.

  • There's a general unspoken rule that in CP (unlike elsewhere on the forum) you aren't rude about people's bikes.

  • Bollocks.

  • There's a general unspoken rule that in CP (unlike elsewhere on the forum) you aren't rude about people's bikes.

    Since when...

  • There's a general unspoken rule that in CP (unlike elsewhere on the forum) you aren't rude about people's bikes.

I thought the unspoken rule was that CP bikes didn't immediately get moved to Anti Porn, even if they deserved it. Not that dimi's Pina is that bad, somebody else was so impressed that they flicked it over to Porn

Anyway, pointing out that carbon spokes are silly isn't rude; he would have to have gone Madfiber to attract actual opprobrium, Cosmic SLRs are just not quite as good as SLSs but at a higher price.

  • I have a pair of SLR's for sale if anyone is interested :)

  • Risers for the haterzzzzzz

    So wideeeeeee

  • Yes, that made me hate.

  • Made a picture on my ride today, excuse the crappy phone quality.
I have a new Sram s300 crankset, new saddle and bartape and new Durano tires.
25 at the front 28 in the back is super grippy and comfy but the rear tire wears extremely quick:(

  • its certainly something only a mother can love.. but looks fun! didnt know you were dutch btw

  • Some advice required. I'm thinking of changing the fork on my All City big block to a cross fork. I'll be changing it from a fork with:
    Axle to Crown Measurement: 375mm
    Offset: 30mm

    to a fork with:

    Axle to Crown Measurement: 395mm
    Offset: 45mm

Would anybody be able to explain how that would affect the handling?

  • It will be less nervous and more laidback

  • Lifting the front will slacken the head angle, which slows the steering.

The change in offset is probably enough to reduce the trail, even after the angle change, which will quicken the steering.

You also have to consider hat the BB height will be raised about 10mm and the seat angle will be slacker too, so you either have to adjust the position of the contact points or you'll effectively be rotating your whole body backwards by a degree or so, which will change the weight distribution.

tl;dr - try it, if you don't like it you can always revert.

  • Finished my new winter build. Kinesis Racelight Aithein. Sram Rival. Fulcrum Racing 5s. Nothing fancy or super expensive but a light stiff and solid ride. Very nice feel to it.

  • Sexy.

Thanks... I think. Yeah I'm dutch, I currently live in Amsterdam
