This, or GTFO because you're failing at being fat.
http://ridingagainstthegrain.com/2012/11/29/fatbike-fenders-in-carbon/Amazing work.
But I would'nt want them on mine. They'd pack with snow, and rocks in no time. -

These?

They look alright.
I'm thinking of asking my flatmate if he can chief a bunch of plastic lying around in his dept. + some cutting, + some zip ties, should work, hopefully. Also thinking of putting a homemade basket at the front, and rear rack...
If you have an old rack lying around it'd be easy. Rack + plastic for the rear, and homemade crud catcher for the front.

Oops.
Duct tape paint job ftw. (trash bags underneath to save paint).
In other news- disc brakes. Fuck me. I need to relearn everything I've forgotten.great work! I nearly ordered this on cycle2work but need something more practical for my new commute..one day though...
what is the purpose of wrapping the frame, do you not like the colour?

• #84307
It was an attempt to make it look less nice.
It hasn't worked at all.Still, a kid gave me a high 5 on my way in to work today. And everyone smiles. Or looks confused. I see it as bringing joy.
Ed- mudguards are a work in progress.
I'll probably re-use the front rack off of this:
(Probable final edit- I'm also considering a tour on it)

• #84308
H, don't you remember you were insistent on not having mudguard mount on the old low-pro Geekhouse tourer?
-
• #84309
Yep, I dislike mudguards inherently.
But this has the capability, and having them just in case is always useful. -
• #84310
Edit- I am biased though, it looks like my bikes Polish Cousin:
That's yours? :) Been looking at that and other Woodville/Mudvilles for inspiration.. Will be set up quite similarly.

Yep, undoubtedly my favorite bike to ride, hands down, everytime*.
Sadly the rear wheel failed on me and is in the process of being replaced, slowly by Velocity, meaning it sits unused in my parents basement at the moment.
:(
Hoping to get it sorted for short winter tours.*though the fat bike has made a big impact, and the CAAD is just lightning, but the geek is so comfortable and chilled- its perfect, and the CX is brilliant for just about anything, ever.
I basically like all my bikes a lot. -
• #84312
What was the failure? hubs or rims?
-
• #84313
Rims. At the seam, about 1000 miles, so well below what it should have been.

Got my hands on Nasty's KHS Aero Track... First job will be hand built forks, similar to the ones in the photo, then respray. Can't wait!
-
• #84315
Another fixie eh? What's it replacing?
-
• #84316
It's not replacing anything! I blame you TM!
-
• #84317
You already got 3 track bikes no?
Will KHS be pub biek?
-
• #84318
Nastys bike purge. They didnt stick around long.
-
• #84319
Yeah that's the plan! Mind you still haven't sorted the pista concept out yet... KHS will be a bit of a project though, new forks, paint and all the parts!

What forks does it have now? it's a bit ugly to spend loads of money on custom forks imo
-
• #84321
True true. I'm groping custom forks won't break the bank too much. It came with alpina wing TT but I want something the fits with the frame style and with similar rake as original
