Someone has to do all the office work while the Polish do the outdoor stuff.. ;)

  • @ hippy - yeah noice noice, well dude, i love new zealanders, they are patriotic in a good way and have a sense of sentiment and respect for their environment and of their indiginous people, so much so that they'd go as far to have their bike in an All blacks colourway, silver fern silver and black, be fine if only they'd win a bloody world title, might happen when England win their football one!!!!! @maxcrowe - just jokes dude, cook me some egg's ;)

  • sunny side up bro

  • @ maxcrowe - dude, did i read right few pages before, are you building new wheels/ what are you doing with those on ones in the pic if so??

  • i am but they are for a new bike, i'll be keeping these for this bike unless you make me an outstanding offer

EDIT: didn't mean to sound so moody!

  • pm me the specs mate?

  • I am not understanding all this talk of polish and eggs!?

  • polish my eggs please

  • Oooh, my cherry red Harry Quinn frame has arrived. I can't wait to finish work!

  • Ooooooh, my cherry has popped up. I can't wait to finish work!

    cherried

  • Took the red bar tape off, replaced with black. =)

    Some vanity shots :

You didn't need any of the other shots...

  • mudguards are so hard to fit! my holes don't line up, am going to have to have to fashion some special clips and get the hacksaw out of course...

new wheels will be ordered next week (after payday!)... full black goldtech track rear and touring disc front, black spokes/nipples/rims
black carbon post to come and some kind of rack for the rear (not sure yet)

maybe a black stem or other stem to match grey of frame + randonneur bars for the proper comfort option.

i like it so far. plus black brooks i reckon if i can find one.

  • nice

  • Finally Dolan forks have arrived, so my project will be ready tomorrow night after much fucking about. I am far too excited.

  • Finished the track bike for Good Friday as I originally planned, and finally got to ride it round the track at this mornings session. Its lighter than I thought it was gonna be, and the transmission makes no noise whatsoever, you'll never hear the bike coming, but you'll hear me huffing and puffing as I strain to pass before the finish line.

Got the frame from Jos and Keith @ Tour De Ville, don't know who made it, but its got a nice fork, and lugs, and has the number 6701 stamped on bb and track end, anyone who knows what it might be let me know.. Got it resprayed at Colourtech, as yellow on a bike isn't for me, I'd have liked it to have been a slightly darker purple, but the colours close enough..

So you get some before and after pictures. Plus it built up in its natural habitat Herne Hill.

I couldn't have done it without the help, support and generosity of many of the forum members, you know who you are and your help was much appreciated. Managed to build it for more than I wanted, but less than i thought it would be...

    looks awesome dude!

also looks a bit like the "big purple one" from a box of quality street

    tasty

  • is it my computer or what but why is the frame blue in the 2nd to last picture ?

is it some kind of bug ?

    anyway Corny, nice build ;)

  • Can you see it?

    There it is:

Just built, and went for an hours cruise around Oxford.
    mmmm mmmmm.
    sunny day- though still cold.

Its a mix between my cruise bike (as seen above) and my fuckabout bike- with optional Aerospoke and Riser bars and polo mallet (and different front wheel).

ooh tilover, I'm so jealous of that bike.
    fuck me!
    (just appeared on my screen)
Is that the gryphon? or peregrine or something else?

  • it's the lighting.. look at the saddle in both pics, it looks blue in the indoors one

  • nice tom!

  • ah eyebrows ! nice, you have a massive chainring on that similar to that Ron Cooper of late.
Nice to see bikes evolving in to tree climbers.
