  • Stage 1 of my road/randonneur/commuter bike finished at last. :)

    Rest of the pictures.

  • That Indy is looking so good Bjorn.
That and the Parlee a couple of pages back....
Murdered-out roadbikes so hot right now.
(I try to avoid bike envy but the indy and Parlee are bringing it on very strong)

  • ^^ Rep'd for lush photos

  • Has anyone here owned/ridden a Surly Pacer? The 2014 frameset in red has caught my eye for a winter bike (though I don't think they'll be available until January). Interested to hear any opinions/feedback.

JB has one now and is liking it.

Cake had one - a while back afaik. I can ask him tomorrow.

  • nice noodle-based solution

  • Should really be in AQA from me... oh well.
The answer to yours is welding I think, but somewhere there is a thread on this forum...

    SPNK

  • SPNK

    Thanks mate!

  • However, it says it fixes Shimano freehubs. How about the campa variety?

Thx all. Thinking I can parts-bin a lot of it, build some cheap wheels and maybe stick 105 on it. Putting mudguards on the Colnago and riding it in the rain is making me sad.

Nothing that doesn't take a Fixxer or the SPNK copy is worth fixing, it's always more expensive than just trading in the hub or wheel for a proper track one.

  • Reckon you'll be happy with it, it does look real good.

    nice noodle-based solution

    Yeah, it works really well.

Agreed. I'm doing the SPNK thing on the Cosmic Pro me thinks. I guess the axle is 126mm OLD though on that rim? Changing axles isn't hard is it?

Cheers! I think black bikes either look great or just very booring. You just never know till its complete. Could have used some fenders today in a rainy stockholm but bike continue to impress.

  • I love road buzz. Makes me feel riding!
