  • luckyskull, y u teetee protectah soo fahback?

  • Fit a rear brake maybe if you don't want to use your legs too much to slow down?

my Woodrup path bike has two brakes and i am just in the process of building a new one (Ellis Briggs)with the same gear ratio, two brakes and mudguards....I think two brakes are better than one.... but not on this bike. one seems fine for now.

that's the place where the bars swing round and hit the TT..... so it's doing its job, protecting.

  • No mad barspinz? Disappoint. :(

  • ^ can you even barspin?

  • ATAC's and FGFS are surprisingly fun.

  • Fair enough.
My question was aimed at roboto :)

  • I dont claim to be able to as its not a skill that is really needed on the road. I don't have a bike with risers either.

  • Thanks for making that clear.

  • You are very welcome. :)

  • lol

  • My Peugeot P10's first ride over 100km this weekend from Sunny Worthing to London and back.

  • I recognise that place, the Hammerpond. Was there on Saturday.

  • added a brake, new lock-ring, and adjusted few bits..... went for a ride in the sun, love it..... may drop down to 49/16 for winter.

Looks well fit fella. Nice work

  • thanks Joe, a few bits came off your old bike. the forks worked out well.

  • What rims are they, btw?

Really nice roads round that way to ride, and a bloody good greasy spoon.

What bars/grips are those? Lovely whip.

  • Thanks, i can't even remember what bars they are, could be Nitto...??...It's Newbaums cloth tape. it works for me.

  • They do look like nitto 201aa? the ones with no sweep?

  • maybe.. just have no idea.... don't see me taking off the tape any time soon, so that one will remain a mystery......but not a very interesting one....

  • So is a still disc fork (ala Pompetamine) so stupid on an alu (Dolan Pre Cursa) frame?

I'm struggling with the idea of spending 3x the frame on a fork when I could get something for £50 but I'm also pretty sure that a steel fork is going to look/ride stupid ...

  • So is a still disc fork (ala Pompetamine) so stupid on an alu (Dolan Pre Cursa) frame?.

Well, a Pompetamine fork is stupid on a PreCursa, it's much too long

Slightly shorter than the Quantec that Zdrenka was running on his famous FXE! And actually shorter or the same size than all of the other carbon/alu cross alternatives.
