  • the chainring are exactly as you said, expected they're from Condor, where you can either get it in all-black or all-polished (without the big "MICHE ADVANCED" logos on the ring too).

Do they sell online? I'd really like those in silver but i'm not in the UK...Condorcycles.com doesn't have online shopping...

  • Yay!

Thanks Sam. Better pics show its true beauty. Its currently opposite my bed, looking very pretty. Thanks again.

    Spaghoops: PM comming at ya.

  • afraid not, got them from their ship, £99 for the crank, quite light too.

  • condor is having a refurb, and will be doing mail order soon.....at least thats what it says on their web site.Or try www.ultimatepursuits.co.uk, which as their mail order shop.

  • I love it! great build ed. I think some proper gumwalls would really complete it.

I'll post my new bob as soon as I can get my camera back home & my build is complete.

build: ice blue metallic with white decals & no lug lining (dual headbages on head tube & seat tube), campagnolo aero seatpost, cinelli xe stem, nitto noodles, tektro black hoods, black fizik tape, black brooks team pro, time atac aliums, kmc z510hx chain, campagnolo record headset, continental GP4000S. ice blue / chrome / black.

left to purchase: open pros to low-flange miche hubs & campagnolo record pista cranks. currently running sugino rd cranks & alex-to-surly wheelset from another bike until I have enough money saved up...but those just dont do a bob jackson justice.

  • Hey Harry.
Cheers for the mention. Here are a couple of pictures of your frame i took before handing it over. (i still need to give you those tubes)

I also painted the Lady Midas bike for cyclodelic topshop promo.

    Wow!
    Good job dude.
You will definitely be kept in mind!

  • no 31trum has them.** couldn't have gone to a nicer bloke**.

    :)
and very nice they are too

try 14 bikes??? i know they do sell a fork seperately

That bike is properly stunning ed, glad you're happy and the blb came off nice and easy!!!
I agree with the gumwalls tho, or maybe some brownwalls with a similar colour to tape and saddle?
Although you could just leave it as it is and it'd still be perfect....

Did you sell all your shiny blue nitto bits to help fund it?

  • pretty much! sold more than half the component from my original bike, a television, a camera, dvds, etc. but it's worth it either way, everything still not done thought as I want to create an old english path racer style bike, black brooks team pro saddle, titan stem, cinelli (or better) drop, campangolo crankset when I get the fund in the near future, low flange phil hubs, etc.

I wanted gumwall tyres too, but the current one (randonneur and gatorskins) is much more practical.

I would say that a pair of Panaracer Pasela TGs would be just as practical and have a gumwall I think.

  • although I doubt it'd last a while on the rear as long as a Randonneur thought.

Fair point, I haven't tried either for skid proofness. It is a touring tyre though so I would imagine would be in similar league to Randonneur.
I am a Randonneur fan myself as I use a 35C on my SS Cross bike and they have been great (very light for their size and puncture proofness, folding version) so see why you would want to stay with it.

  • Harry, where did you get the inspiration for that colour job from? ;-)

Is that a real GB, those decals look a bit moody

Watanabe are you saying? No idea...

It is a real GB, but the previous owner put Peurgeot decals on it. So I ordered new ones, but they only have Vinyl ones, and they don't bury as well as say waterslide. :(

  • An authentic Geoffrey Butler and the pellet put Peugeot stickers on it!? Fuckin 'ell!

  • @ snoops, i have some straight track forks (red) that will be plenty long enough. Might be persuaded to part with them....

Incidentally, they're not drilled and the crown may not accept a brake anyway.

  • Gonna build this up over the coming months

in all fairness, peugeot tend to use british frame builder for their track bike.

  • harry major that GB is gonna look like the essence of summer, nice work.

ed. good work on the BJ.

for me the winner is that Alan though. so sweet. a mate of mine rides an Alan conversion but seeing that track one gives a man unpure thoughts. am totally going to get an italian track frame. and soon.

  • The Bianchi is starting to take shape after a very expencive paint job I have a full dura ace group for it but i think it looks quite nice plain and simple.

  • Very very nice Mr.Cutter.. Is the colour slightly off-celeste or is it just the picture?

Also, be careful, there's a very spooky person taking pictures in your front room ;)

  • nice bike KING, don't resist, get those cables on there!

It is the original 1980's Celeste over the years the colour has changed slightly so the man in the restoration shop told me,I did actually see the original pot of paint he used and the stickers came from Italy.
